This is what I don’t like about Ghanaians. You’ll see a profession demanding for pay rise & comparing themselves to doctors Bro fight for what you truly deserve, let them see your relevance without dragging another profession. Anyways they should increase doctors salaries wai 👍🏽

Look at the money the Sports Ministry budgeted to fly fans to the World Cup, and compare it to how they're treating Azamati and his boys. This is Ghana for you.😂😂😂😂😂

I do not know whether this is rage bait or a sincere belief. Either way, it reflects a dangerous way of thinking that needs to be addressed. A cesarean section is a major abdominal surgery and should never be trivialized. But the decision is not the husband’s to “allow.” The pregnant woman is the patient. Serious obstetric care is built around informed consent, maternal autonomy, and proper risk-benefit discussion. If a woman requests a cesarean birth, clinicians discuss the overall benefits and risks of cesarean versus vaginal birth, explore the reasons, and, if severe fear of childbirth is part of the issue, offer referral for perinatal mental health support. If, after discussion and support, she still prefers a planned cesarean birth, that option can be offered. That is why female education matters so much. Women who are not adequately informed about their rights, their bodies, and the ethics of consent are easier to pressure, easier to frighten, and easier to overrule. And that kind of ignorance can become dangerous very quickly. I once had a patient who failed induction of labor. She was prepared for surgery, consented, and we wheeled her to the theatre. Anesthesia had been given. Then she suddenly said she had changed her mind because her husband had not agreed. We had to wheel her back to the ward. We only returned to the theatre after the husband arrived and we explained everything to him. The baby ended up spending several weeks in the NICU. She put her life and that of her baby at risk because somewhere, somehow, she had been made to believe that a grown woman could not decide on the very body carrying the pregnancy. That is not love or leadership That is control dressed up as morality. This breaks women down psychologically long before it harms them physically. A woman in labor is not a vessel waiting for male permission. She is the patient.
Glorious God@GloriousGod01

I don't care how you people see this but just so you know, My wife cannot on her own decide to deliver by Caesarean section. I have heard that some women no longer want to deliver vaginally and are opting for CS even when a vaginal birth is perfectly safe. That is unacceptable to me. Unless the doctor advises or recommends a CS due to medical reasons, she must deliver vaginally the way a woman should. Fear of pushing is not an excuse. I will not allow any woman to carry my child and then choose CS simply because she is afraid of labour pain. Fear of pushing is not a medical condition. Above all, love God.

CRISPR deleted the extra chromosome behind Down syndrome. In a groundbreaking world-first, researchers have successfully used CRISPR gene-editing technology to remove the extra chromosome responsible for Down syndrome, opening a potential path toward treating genetic disorders previously considered incurable. Down syndrome, or trisomy 21, occurs when a person has three copies of chromosome 21 instead of the usual two. It is one of the most common genetic conditions, affecting about 1 in 700 babies worldwide, and leads to intellectual disability, developmental delays, and various health issues. Until now, no treatment has been able to correct the underlying cause. That may soon change. In a new proof-of-concept study, scientists applied CRISPR-Cas9 to cells taken from people with Down syndrome—including skin cells and pluripotent stem cells—and successfully eliminated the extra chromosome 21. The edited cells showed a striking return to normal gene expression patterns and cellular function. To improve precision, the team briefly disabled certain DNA-repair pathways during the process, making the chromosome removal cleaner and more effective. At this stage, the technique has only been demonstrated in laboratory cell cultures and is far from ready for human use. Removing an entire chromosome carries significant risks, including possible off-target effects, so extensive safety work lies ahead. If those challenges can be overcome, however, the approach could one day be applied to brain cells or even used during early fetal development. The implications extend beyond Down syndrome. The same strategy might eventually treat other life-limiting trisomies, such as trisomy 13 and trisomy 18, which are often fatal in infancy or cause severe disability. For the first time, a tool exists that could, in principle, correct the root chromosomal abnormality rather than merely managing symptoms. When I was in Uni, was doing content creation alongside hitting lecture halls. I contacted a certain brand situated on Legon campus for a deal. The only thing I needed in return for my service was free food anytime I need it. They turned me down for a reason best known to them. I Worked hard, remained committed to content creation and became a hot cake through the support of Shatta Wale and my creativity. That same brand reached out to me for a gig in 2025, told them my rate card was 4.5K per gig and they run away. We are in 2026 and my rate card has increased to 6K, they will come and run away again! Moral lesson??
