It's a very sad state of affairs when the best outcome I can hope for today is a decisive, expedient victory that prevents claims of fraud and violence in response. The fact that one side will likely claim fraud no matter what (unless they win) is a reality that seemed unimaginable just four years ago. First world countries depend on safe, sound elections - which we have. But when the population is uneducated and easily misled, when the media is audience captured and biased, and when demagogues are the flavor of the day that means nothing. They've boarded up our Capitol in preparation for tonight. I just begged my husband to plan to stay home from work tomorrow in Atlanta. This is not a sustainable reality for the country to move forward. Just remember, if you only believe in the results when you win you're not concerned with safe elections - you're actually the ones trying to rig them.
