@Fair_and_Biased It’s not a rejection of Republicans, it’s a rejection of Trump. Your team chose to put at the top of its organization a felonious psychopath. And you’re paying price for it. Once you rid yourself of this monstrous monolith, people will come back. But not until then.
English

About half the country votes Republican.
Yet we don’t have even CLOSE to half the representation in popular culture.
We can’t get an A-lister or even a B-lister to appear at any of our events.
We can only get artists who’ve aged out, been cast out, or are just starting out.
Half the nation has a monopoly on the cultural institutions & the other half doesn’t know how to exercise their power.
Maybe they’ve given up bc they’ve been villainized for so long & have no other options for entertainment.

@realscottymart @atensnut The flip side of Seasons in the Sun was a song called “Put the Bone In”, a song about a dog that has been hit by a car. Corny, but sad.

@BigRedfootball7 I would throw out some love to Merlene Ottey. She was an elite track athlete. She won 14 individual national titles and earned 24 All-America awards, both of which are the most by any Husker student-athlete.

@klseaboldt Never was an Angels fan, but enjoyed watching him play.
English

Very quietly one of the best hitters of his era. The Angels’ career leader in games, hits, doubles, total bases, and RBI. The last player to win the All-Star Home Run Derby and be named All-Star Game MVP the same year.
And a really good dude.
RIP

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Angels Hall of Famer Garret Anderson. Garret will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Angels fans for his professionalism, class, and loyalty throughout his career and beyond. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Anderson family.

@tylerjohnson_59 Your course had a driving range? Oakland Country Club in SW Iowas did not have that extravagance.
English

I grew up playing a rural nine hole golf course in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
Town population was 2500 people.
The fairways were not watered.
There were zero sand bunkers.
One hole had an in course out of bounds.
Telephone lines ran along holes 1 & 2.
The town water tower was behind the driving range which was an old field.
And now our kids golf bags just arrived at Winged Foot.
Some days I just sit back and laugh at what is happening.

@klseaboldt @KrisKetzKMBC Kent Pavelka deserves this moment. I’m biased but it has been a fun season to listen to him call games.
English

I absolutely adore this clip.
Kent Pavelka started announcing Nebraska basketball games the year Richard Nixon resigned.
Today’s win probably meant more to him than it did to any other person in the state of Nebraska.

@KCStar @KCMikeMahoney Sounds like Mark is willing to sacrifice re-election to me

Mark Alford says Missouri’s willing to ‘sacrifice’ for Trump’s Iran war. Are you? | Opinion kansascity.com/opinion/reader…

Front row listening to the latest on Iran from Commander in Chief, @POTUS.
The message is loud & clear: America will not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated. Terrorist leaders are being eliminated, our military is strong, and the United States stands ready to defend our interests AND our allies. 🇺🇸

@stolpe99 Fans used to lose their minds if we had a 3 loss season. That was the basement. To say the bar has been lowered is an understatement.
English

@mikewickett Getting beat by 30 to the joke Nebraska team should fall into the bad loss catagry category Mr Wickett 😉
