The historic #ArtemisII mission continues to inspire the next generation of innovators, explorers & pioneers. It was great to host @astro_reid, @AstroVicGlover, @astro_christina & @astro_jeremy – along with @NASAadmin – on Capitol Hill this week to meet with Senate appropriators & celebrate NASA’s successful Artemis II mission. The day was an extraordinary reminder that U.S. leadership in space is earned by the courage, dedication & hard work of crews like Artemis II. 
Reid, Victor, Christina & Jeremy – thank you for reminding the world that our greatest days of discovery still lie ahead.

On Memorial Day, we honored the sacrifices of America's fallen servicemembers by formally dedicating the new Gold Star Family Memorial at the Veterans Freedom Square Memorial in Independence. This memorial provides a place for family members to remember their loved ones and honor their service and sacrifices. Thank you to the Veterans Freedom Square Committee for its work in establishing this memorial honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect and pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Today, and every day, we remember them and keep their survivors and loved ones in our hearts.

Caregivers are the hidden heroes to our nation's veterans. During the 2026 @DoleFoundation Caregivers event this week, I visited with Kansan and caregiver, Dedra Reed, to discuss the importance of supporting the complex needs that caregivers face. Today, ATF, in partnership with Wichita State University and its Midwest Criminal Justice Institute, announced the grand opening of the ATF Forensic Crime Gun Intelligence Laboratory on the Wichita State University’s Innovation Campus. U.S. Senator @JerryMoran (R-Kan.), Acting Attorney General @DAGToddBlanche, @ATFHQ Director Robert Cekada, and @PresidentWSU Dr. Richard Muma made the announcement about the new facility. The lab will be positioned alongside the Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Excellence, with the ATF Wichita Field Office nearby to create a powerful hub for combating violent gun crime. This week, our nation observes National Police Week, a time to honor the dedication and sacrifices of the law enforcement officers who protect our communities in Kansas and across the country. We also remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Because of their sacrifices, our communities and state are safer. May God bless our law enforcement officers and keep them safe as they faithfully serve and protect us.

It was great to meet Chad & Beth Allan from Wichita yesterday.
