According to numerous reports, 4 billion deaths this century is now a distinct possibility, as a result of climate and ecological breakdown. The latest science shows us that we are on track to hit 3.0 °C above pre-industrial levels by 2050! We are 4 Billion Dead. And we are fighting for Life. Join us on March 7th to be a part of this new chapter in history. 4billiondead.org/4bd-launch-eve…

The more urgent it's become, the more threatening it's become to vested interests, and the more they've turned away. The insanity of the greed-driven mind.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT "THE CLIMATE" ANYMORE? Because it has gone away? No, because it is so bad that if we talked about it we would realise that we have a binary choice: dismantle capitalism OR universal death. Not as a matter of ideology but as an objective matter of civilisational survival. Or, as they say, 2+2=4 even if everyone pretends it equals 5. In other words, consider this: "Over the past 50 years the average time between billion-dollar severe events has dropped from 82 days in the 1980s to 16-19 days during the last decade 2015-2024. In 2025 it was 10 days between billion-dollar disasters." Go and do the projection over the next 2 decades on that! counterpunch.org/2026/02/20/an-…

I recently met the families of Palestine Action prisoners who are on hunger strike. I am extremely concerned about their health and the treatment they're facing. The Justice Secretary should meet with the lawyers representing the hunger strikers and put an end to this dangerous situation.

Support hunger striking prisoners' demands for fair trial and conditions! They allegedly took action to prevent weapons from being sent to Israel to be used in genocide. Now the gov is holding them in inhumane conditions in prison, violating their rights. Please write your MP.

🚨BREAKING -- Five UN special rapporteurs have condemned Britain's proscription of Palestine Action as unnecessary and authoritarian. "We are concerned at the seemingly unjustified use of counter-terrorism laws against protest activity in a democratic society", they write.

Risk Expert tells the Truth about Climate
Committed warming is absolutely real. Ramanathan, 2008... "The observed increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) since the preindustrial era has most likely committed the world to a warming of 2.4°C (1.4°C to 4.3°C) above the preindustrial surface temperatures. The committed warming is inferred from the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) estimates of the greenhouse forcing and climate sensitivity. The estimated warming of 2.4°C is the equilibrium warming above preindustrial temperatures that the world will observe even if GHG concentrations are held fixed at their 2005 concentration levels but without any other anthropogenic forcing such as the cooling effect of aerosols. The range of 1.4°C to 4.3°C in the committed warming overlaps and surpasses the currently perceived threshold range of 1°C to 3°C for dangerous anthropogenic interference with many of the climate-tipping elements such as the summer arctic sea ice, Himalayan–Tibetan glaciers, and the Greenland Ice Sheet. IPCC models suggest that 25% (0.6°C) of the committed warming has been realized as of now. About 90% or more of the rest of the committed warming of 1.6°C will unfold during the 21st century, determined by the rate of the unmasking of the aerosol cooling effect by air pollution abatement laws and by the rate of release of the GHGs-forcing stored in the oceans. The accompanying sea-level rise can continue for more than several centuries. Lastly, even the most aggressive CO2 mitigation steps as envisioned now can only limit further additions to the committed warming, but not reduce the already committed GHGs warming of 2.4°C." - Ramanathan's committed warming is based on 3°C fast-feedback climate sensitivity (ECS). Hansen has ruled out 3°C, finding that ECS is actually ~4.5°C. So the upper end of Ramanathan's range (4.3°C) is appropriate. - Ramanathan's committed warming doesn't factor in slow feedbacks (not slow in the Anthropocene), which approximately double the fast-feedback sensitivity.
