march is cerebral palsy (CP) awareness month, dedicated to raising understanding, promoting inclusion, and fostering research for the some 18 million people worldwide living with the disability. 💚 as some of you may know, my amazing little man was born last April, but sadly had a pretty rough start to life — having a brain bleed at birth, leading to him losing a lot of motor function in the left side of his body, and therefore an eventual diagnosis of CP, though the severity of which likely won't be diagnosed until he's a bit older. hearing the words "your son will likely struggle in life with motor skills" gave us a pain like no other — one that can't be helped with medicine or a bandage, and though gets easier over time, there are still days where it all just feels that little bit harder and heavier; and this is where we're so grateful for all the support we've received from friends and family over the past year. this fantastic, strong little man has lived through more than most would in an entire lifetime, and my pride for him grows every single day. things that might seem like the average milestone for most parents, are major to him, my fiancée and myself — and he's already surpassed the expectations of many in his first 11 months in the world, and we can't wait to see how many more milestones he hits. so, in honour of my little fighter, I'll be running @goteborgsvarvet in may to raise money for @Hjarnfonden (CP). i'm running so that one day he can too. if you'd like to donate, it would mean the world to us. the link is in the replies!

I was talking more from the POV of people headhunting, not job applicants. Also, haven't really noticed idiots hiring, au contraire - most companies have levelled up their recruitment practices, and have become more selective so the "fake it till you make it" applicants are pushed out of the market.

What's the deal with having this in every Job Description I see out there? * Comfortable working closely with founders and product teams * Low ego, high empathy, and collaborative mindset, thriving in a small, high-performance team.

@bl0ckjames While in reality the only thing the blue checkmark should tell you is "that person has $8 to waste on a broken service"...

while i really hate that this is a thing — having a blue tick on this platform is more important now than it's ever been. and it's especially important if you're a job-seeker — here's why: the blue tick obviously has its benefits, like increased visibility for posting, and so on, but the most important thing you gain from it is legitimacy — it acts as a shortcut for trust. recruiters and hiring managers scroll fast, and are often required (especially in a market like this) to make snap judgments in seconds. whether we like it or not, a blue tick signals "this person is real, active, and credible." in a crowded market where there's often hundreds (sometimes into the thousands) of other candidates competing for that same attention, that little blue badge can be the difference between someone replying to your dm or skipping straight past it. as painful as it is to admit this, that little monthly fee is worth it if you're on the hunt for a new role. and in terms of visibility, ask yourself: when was the last time you saw someone without a blue tick show up on your feed?

The deafening silence of the company slack on a Friday when the CEO says he's gonna share new strategic direction on Monday. Weekend: ruined. Anxiety: through the roof. Monday comes. I'm laid off. Well, shit.

@firefincher On the grand scheme of things, it's probably for the better but ruining my weekend wasn't great, yes.

Really grateful to the founders and the team for putting trust in me. We've been saying internally for a long time now that the chain model is broken. Infra alone doesn't win. What wins is distribution and getting products into real people's hands. That's the new mission, and we're already heads down executing. I'll be sharing a lot of it publicly as we go. Let's get to work. --- Thank you for your attention to this matter. You may return to monitor the situation.
Scroll@Scroll_ZKP

An important update: Raza, who has been leading growth at Scroll for the past 2 years, is being promoted to CEO of Up Labs (the operating entity behind Scroll). This is a recognition of the work he's already been doing and a natural next step as our priorities shift. Scroll's infrastructure is now mature. The focus now shifts towards distribution, adoption, and getting Scroll into more hands, and that calls for a tighter, more execution-focused org. Haichen, the CTO of Up Labs, is joining Sandy at the Scroll Foundation to lead Scroll's technical vision. Sandy has been the director of the Foundation for the past 2 years, and continues in her role as she always has. They will both continue to actively operate in the ecosystem and work closely with the Up Labs team to guide execution. The mission for Scroll stays the same, the only thing that is changing is how we're structured internally to execute on it. Scroll's next chapter will focus on building products that reach real users, and this structure puts us in the best position to do that. Onward.

Proud to share that I’ve accepted the role of CMO at @SuperteamUSA. I’ll be supporting teams building on Solana across the United States, hosting events and experiences that bring builders together and helping onboard more American talent into the ecosystem. We’re kicking things off in the place I call home: Miami🌴 Grateful and excited to work alongside the outstanding leadership of @NickyScanz. Looking forward to the adventures ahead! 🇺🇸

5/ The #1 signal that does NOT mean you should hire: "We just raised money." Funding is not a hiring signal. Traction is. I've watched projects hire 15 marketers post-raise, then lay off 10 six months later. Don't be that project.

🧵1/6 A 60-person marketing team in crypto? Apparently, yes. I recently spoke to a crypto founder who shared they have a marketing team of 60 people. His company has a clear product-market-fit, grows like crazy, and ships new product fast. Still, 60 people?
