I should not be here yet, I am, thanks to my Mom. born and raised by a single mother in the lower class introduced the unfairness of life as early as I could remember. predatory MLM reps promising her freedom, extended family members stealing from their own, making the impossible choice of choosing between being a present mother or pursuing your dreams, grocery "shopping" at our local food bank...the list goes on. one memory in particular was back in 11th grade, she came home from work. visibly exhausted and broke down in tears. the reason? not knowing how she was going to cover rent for the month. i felt so useless and ashamed for not having the means to chip in when she needed. how much do u need? how can i get that tomorrow? why am i wasting my time on video games? why can't anyone help us? bro, the trauma of seeing your mother breakdown and not being able to help is fucked. it's fucked and I wish that on no one. but that became a turning point in my life by lighting a fire no outside force can extinguish. over the next decade I took many risks in hopes of becoming a man that could provide for my mom when no one else could. over the next 5 years: - dropped out of high school seeking mentorship from someone who knew money - worked as an appointment setter at 17 for a top real estate team in my local area - became a real estate agent at 18. learned the basics of sales, how to market myself, and how to use social media as a tool to distribute anything. - taught classes on homebuying discovered how much I disliked front end sales: - transitioned into social media marketing for local businesses - began working directly with influencers as a consultant driving content strategy, marketing operations, contract negotiations, and adding affiliate revenue sources while consulting, I caught wind of crypto. observed from the sidelines for many years, until entering the arena as a marketer in 2022 and have never looked back. there isn't a more interesting crowd of uniquely driven teams actively leveling the playing field of money. today, I am no millionaire (nor in six figure hell), but I have reached a point in life to where I can care for my mom. she'll always have clothes on her back, food to eat, bills paid and a roof over her head, just like what she provided for me and my brother. i would like to imagine a world where if today's applications were in front of my mom, it would have steered her to be less reliant on the people that wronged her. the best I can do now is make that my mission going forward, for another family like mine. tbh I'm not exactly sure how to end this, but I will exclaim how grateful I am to work alongside so many incredible people at Orca, Solana Foundation, and the greater crypto industry. to know someone like me, with my background, has a place here is something I reflect on with gratitude every time. exciting things to share soon. back to the grind frens. p.s. if you are going through tough times and need an extra set of ears, you are not alone. reach out via DM any time.

The all-in-one financial platform. A place for your entire stack to live. Ofc, it’s powered by Solana but users won’t feel that. (Outside of wondering why everything is so fast and cheap)
