🇮🇷 The Strait of Hormuz handles 20 million barrels a day, and the attached image going viral is NOT a feasible solution Saudi Arabia's bypass pipeline to the Red Sea moves 5 million at best. The UAE's Fujairah pipeline moves another 1.8 million. Combined, the real alternatives cover maybe 6-7 million barrels. A third of normal flow. The other 13-14 million barrels have nowhere to go. There is no workaround. There is no convoy of trucks through the desert. There is no alternative route that handles the volume. The world built its entire energy supply chain around a strait that is 33km wide at its narrowest point, controlled by a country that is currently at war. $120 oil is not a wild prediction anymore.
