Its chill and very peaceful, safe and low crime and the accommodation and feeding there is very cheap. They also have goof weather. Lots of sun compared to the nearby EU countries. If you are into slow living, nature and ease, you should try Portugal especially as a digital Nomad. But they gave really low paying jobs

@Enioluwa You’re comparing cutting of hair to plaiting hair?? Ordinary 2wks holiday these girls are already making crazy hair with an attempt to bring it to school, even if it’s just for a day! Plaiting hair will be their new distraction. Intern in a public school and you’ll get ur answers

I’m trying to understand some of the arguments being made here. People say the girls can’t afford to plait their hair, but they can afford to cut it? Don’t they still have to pay for the barbing?
At the very least, give them the choice. It shouldn’t be compulsory for every girl to cut her hair.
This feels like one of those rules that just continues to exist for no clear reason, simply because that’s the way it has always been.

Something that may seem small, but genuinely bothers me, is why public schools in Nigeria still ask girls to cut their hair. To what end? What exactly is the point? Yesterday I saw some girls with very low cuts and asked about it. They told me their school doesn’t allow girls to plait their hair. In 2026???
