There are plenty of generators spinning in reserve as it is. Also, not all "real" power generated is used (reactive power isn't "useful")

That’s 55 million gallons of water per year So many Illinois residents showed up to their city council meeting to oppose it they had to put out extra chairs in multiple rooms

Farmland gets converted all the time, why not for relatively clean data centers, as long as infrastructure costs are not absorbed by residents?
