Well said. Sachin wasn't just about the 100 hundreds; he was about the 24 years of carrying a billion hopes without cracking. Vaibhav is special—youngest IPL centurion, U19 WC hero—but let’s give him the space to be Vaibhav, not "the next" anyone. Comparisons are the quickest way to extinguish a young flame. 🏏🔥

Sachin Tendulkar was the greatest thing to happen to cricket since Sir. Garfield Sobers. Let Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reach halfway to what either of them had achieved before you compare him to SRT. Lot’s of kids who scored more runs in their teens than @sachin_rt are now in oblivion. He was unique not just in the way he played the game but the manner in which he handled stardom. So many nearly as talented as Sachin have fallen by the wayside. Don’t kill his game or his brilliance with expectations. Leave him alone.

Hard to argue with Finch here. 📉 Virat’s T20 World Cup average of 81.50 (the highest in history) is a statistical anomaly. Most players hope for that in a single series; he’s maintained it over a decade of world tournaments. Even in the 2026 IPL season, his ability to anchor at a 140+ strike rate while barely ever getting out shows that 'King Kohli' hasn't just kept his throne—he’s reinforced it. 👑🏏

Everybody talking about David Miller's decision to not take single, nobody talking about Nitish Rama's bye that he had taken on the lbw appeal that was ruled out on DRS. Scores would have been tied if that run wasn't made ruled out. The rule makes no sense.

@Vipintiwari952 I get the caution, but 'waiting for 2028' is how you let generational momentum go to waste The Indian team isn’t just a 'final stage'; it’s a high-performance lab. If a 15-year-old is already striking at 200.0+ in the IPL and treating elite international bowlers like club cricketers, what exactly is he going to learn by playing another two years of domestic cricket where he’s already the apex predator? The logic behind why I feel he can be early inclusion: Exposure > Age: Look at Sachin in '89 or Shafali Verma in 2019. They didn't have 'completed' games, but they had the temperament. You can teach a prodigy to find gaps; you can't teach the raw, fearless audacity Vaibhav has right now. The Jaiswal Parallel: Jaiswal is world-class, but remember, he was also 'rushed' into the limelight. The goal isn't to create a logjam, but to integrate X-factors while they are in that 'fearless' peak. Trial by Fire: If he fails, he goes back to domestic with a blueprint of what he needs to fix. If he succeeds, you have a decade-defining asset ready before he’s even 20. Why waste time at a level he’s already outgrown? If you're good enough, you're old enough. Let him fly! 🦅🏏" #IPL2026 #VaibhavSuryavanshi #IndianCricket #CricketDebate #TeamIndia

So where exactly do you fit Vaibhav Suryavanshi into this Indian side? A team that literally just won a World Cup? And if you’re rushing him in, then what’s Yashasvi Jaiswal doing, just waiting in the shadows? No doubt Vaibhav is playing brilliantly, but this hype train needs a brake. We’ve seen this movie before, two bad games, and the same crowd that’s hyping him today will start calling him a “blind slogger.” Let the IPL finish. Let him grow. The Indian team isn’t a trial ground, it’s the final stage. Realistically, he’s not breaking into the setup anytime soon, at least not before 2028. Better to build him properly than throw him in early and watch people tear him down.

@doddaganesha Miller was in 'the zone' after that 106m six, but at 2 off 2, the game state dictates the move, not the ego. By refusing the run, he essentially invited the pressure back onto himself. Prasidh won the mental battle on 19.5 before he even bowled 19.6!

Kuldeep Yadav is no mug with the bat. You can trust him to get a run off the last ball. Miller after having done all the hard work gifted the game to GT. Thanks to the denial of the single off the penultimate ball. Sometimes you got to trust your partner #IPL2026

The superstar of the 90s and early 2000s Lance ‘Zulu’ Klusener He used to bat at number 8 or 9. When he batted in those lower positions, he dominated and destroyed the opposition. South Africa at that time had a stacked top order, which allowed them to hide Klusener at the bottom and give him a license to swing freely. During the 1999 World Cup, he repeatedly walked into absolute disaster situations and saved the day from the bottom of the scorecard: Against Sri Lanka: He came in at number 9 when South Africa collapsed to 115/7. He blasted 52 not out off just 45 balls (including hitting 22 runs in the final over). Against Zimbabwe: He came in at number 9 with the team crumbling at 106/7 and scored a measured 52. Against England: He batted at number 8, smashing 48 not out. The Semi-Final vs Australia: He batted at number 8, scoring 31 not out off 16 balls before the tragic run-out. He started as a bowling all-rounder, taking 8 wickets on his Test debut. But his batting became too explosive to ignore.

Ashwin speaking the hard truth! It’s the ultimate IPL paradox: Miller’s aggression got DC to the finish line, but his lack of 'single' awareness left them an inch short. You simply cannot ignore the Super Over safety net when it’s right there for the taking. Is this the biggest brain-fade of #IPL2026? 🤔🔥

Ashwin Furious Over Miller: "It's Just Bonkers"😲😡 Ashwin🗣️: "I was thinking about what David Miller was doing. If I were Kuldeep, I would have literally pushed him to the other end and run! I just can't understand it; it’s beyond me, it’s bonkers." - When you need four or six runs, it makes sense, but when you need only two, what are the odds? You can at least take a single. Even if Kuldeep doesn't hit it or gets bowled, in a 1-in-10 game, if you reach a Super Over, you've done well. - But still, what did I tell you? Delhi might find a way to keep themselves out of the tournament. By losing like this, you’re doing two things: you've shaken your own team's confidence, and you've let a team like Gujarat Titans back into the tournament. If they had lost today, they would be in a Catch-22 wondering how to move forward, but you gave them a lifeline while you're still stuck at 4 points.

Ashwin is 100% right. In a game of percentages, you never turn down a 100% chance of a tie for a 50/50 chance of a win. 🚨 RAVI ASHWIN TAKES ON DAVID MILLER & FINAL OVER DRAMA BETWEEN DC VS GT 🚨 Ravi Ashwin Said 🗣️, "I would never have believed that a match could be lost like this if I hadn’t watched the game today. Yes, if 6 runs were needed off 1 ball or even 4 runs off 1 ball, then not taking a single would have been justified. But when 2 runs were needed off 2 balls, and the ball went towards the boundary on that delivery, he definitely should have taken the single. This turned out to be a huge blunder by David Miller. These are things that are really hard to accept."

The 'Miller logic' usually relies on the striker being a 90%+ favorite to finish, but the math here is undeniable. By turning down the single, he removed the safety of the Super Over entirely. It wasn't just a battle against Prasidh Krishna; it was a battle against probability itself—and this time, the house won. 📉🏏 #DCvGT #IPL2026

@CricCrazyJohns The Math vs. The Man. You play the odds for the 75% win probability, or you back the finisher for the 100% glory. Miller chose the latter and found out why the Super Over is a batter's best friend. Massive win for Shubman Gill’s Titans! 💎🔥 #IPL2026 #GTvDC

@joybhattacharj Fascinating breakdown. It shows how 'Main Character Energy' can sometimes cloud tactical math. Miller was hitting them so clean (41 off 19) that he probably felt a boundary was 100% certain. But in the final-over pressure, Prasidh's slower bouncer turned that 100% into 0% real quick. Hard luck for Delhi! 💔 #CricketTwitter #DavidMiller

If you take a single, you eliminate the possibility of a regular time loss. So then it's a 50% chance to go to a super over, and a 50% chance that you win. And if it goes to a super over, then there is again a 50% chance you could win. So if you take a single there is 25% chance of losing after a super over and a 75% chance of winning either outright or after the super over. Now if you do not take the single, there is a 33.33% chance you win, 33.33% chance you go to a super over, and a 33% chance you lose. If you add the odds of the super over, it is a pure 50-50 chance. Granted, this does not bring the skill of the batter into the picture and that of the non-striker and their current form. But if you played the odds, the single was the most logical choice.

Four balls, two runs required. Ravi Shastri takes a single and the Test ends up being tied eventually. Should David Miller have adopted safety first approach and ensured at least a Super Over rather than farming strike off the penultimate ball? What's your take? #DCvsGT x.com/CricketopiaCom…

It’s not often that a game of nearly 420 runs is decided by a moment of poor judgment. Miller taking that single would’ve guaranteed a super-over. Kuldeep is good enough to take a single or hit a four off the last ball too. Denied a tie. Lost the game. GT getting into the habit of playing the most exciting games this season 😇 #DCvGat
