Educators have developed new ways of teaching maths which can sometimes be a bit confusing to learn because I tried learning these new concepts and then compare them to the traditional ways of doing

@HustleBitch_ @treadaway_117 I understand his frustration but the test said show your work. That is to show you know the process to do it as it was taught. She did not learn the process so she failed. Wait until she gets to Algebra and Statistics and other advanced math where the process matters.

Test day came and she only missed TWO questions. Should’ve been a 92%. She got a 50%. Why? Because she didn’t use the box method. She got the answers right but they were marked wrong anyway. Her dad went to the school and pushed back, the principal admitted there’s more than one way to solve it. Grade got fixed. But now his wife says he went too far. If the answer is right, does the method even matter?

@koolshade3 @naskallits Awesome. Many people don't understand, and I joke when I vent—knowing I'll do the opposite of what I say, just like you mentioned. Also, I haven't had a personal birthday in over 20 years. Her birthday is the day before mine, and she's always been one of my main priorities.

My daughter has a weekend job, but she still asked for money, saying she's broke. Still, I notice packages arriving, and it makes me wonder……
