Yes, several Abbasid caliphs veiled their faces. The reasoning behind it was since a khalifah is shadow of God on earth (a concept from ancient Mesopotamian days), his face is too sacred to be directly gazed at by normies. An echo of Moses being unable to directly look at God.

King Dhanadeva of Kosala (c. 1st century CE) belonged to the Deva dynasty of Saketa (Ayodhya), which most likely succeeded Śuṅga sovereignty in the region. According to the Ayodhya inscription, he was the sixth in descent from Senapati Pushyamitra Śuṅga.

Coromandel is a corruption of Chola-mandala. The land ruled by the Chola kingdom and its tributary states was known as Cholamandalam, literally "the mandala of the Cholas." With the arrival of Europeans, the term was gradually mispronounced and corrupted into Coromandel..
