Good news for your local brewery: we’re extending alcohol excise tax relief for 2 more years. That’ll save Canadian breweries up to $90,000 in taxes this year.

BREAKING: Unhappy Gilmore is once again unhappy. This time about an April Fools Juno News joke article about hiring her as fact checker. She calls it "harassment." Wow. 🫠

Soldiers should not be able to chose which enemy they are prepared to fight against It would be like a platoon taking a vote before they agreed to obey and order War doesn't work like that

Some Muslims in the US Military are asking to be classified as "Conscientious Objectors," arguing that fighting other Muslims violates their conscience and religious beliefs. ❓️: Should Muslim Service Members be granted this special exemption?

This is what we call a major misstep in politics. Poilievre will never recover. Conservatives are why we can’t have nice things. Any forward momentum that benefits constituents is met with defiance by the CPC.

Pierre Poilievre on the Toronto–Quebec City High-Speed Rail Network: "Conservatives oppose the $90b Liberal-Alto train ... a future Conservative government will cancel this $90b boondoggle altogether."

Pierre and the Conservatives are showing their true colours again. Pierre Poilievre says he’ll cancel the Alto high-speed rail project, that’s 51,000 good-paying jobs gone. That’s not a plan. That’s walking away from the people who build this country. These are nation building jobs, paycheques for ironworkers, operating engineers, pipefitters, electricians, and labourers. The skilled trades that keep our communities growing. Canada is ready to build. Under @MarkJCarney, we’re building big and building bold, using Canadian steel, aluminum, lumber, and Canadian workers. Real projects. Good union jobs.

@TWilsonOttawa I've seen how "robust" government websites are. If they got 10,000 people even accessing the site in one day, I am pretty certain that the site would probably crash.

@SamHersh01 I love riding these in Europe, but it should pay for itself from day 1. It's not. It will never be self-supporting. I live in the Maritimes and will likely never use this train. My tax dollars shouldn't go towards this.

Canada is literally the only G7 country without high speed rail. Conservatives want you to continue to pay sky high prices for gas, worsen congestion on roads and make your commute hours longer. We've been "studying" high speed rail for 50 years - time to get it built.

Canada says it will go door to door to collect guns… and people still say nobody’s coming for your guns. Let that sink in. In Canada, 98% of gun owners basically said no to the government’s so-called buyback program. And instead of backing off? Now the conversation turns into police going door to door for collection. That’s not a buyback. That’s not voluntary. That’s confiscation dressed up in softer language. And this is exactly why gun owners never trust the line: “Nobody’s coming for your guns.” Because eventually the mask always comes off. First it’s common sense. Then it’s registration. Then it’s bans. Then it’s buybacks. Then it’s door-to-door collection. So I want to hear from y’all: What do you call it when Canada sends people door to door to take legally owned guns? Comment: BUYBACK or CONFISCATION And bigger question— Do you think Canada is the preview of what anti-gun politicians want everywhere else? Drop your answer in the comments. youtu.be/dNBwQSAYYiI

@MrColionNoir Seeing as how none of my firearms were bought from the government, none of my firearms can be "bought back". There's no guarantee they'll even give people any money

Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of trans and non-binary people across our communities. Visibility matters, but so does action. It means standing up to discrimination, protecting rights, and making sure everyone can live safely and authentically. A stronger Canada is one where everyone is seen, valued, and respected—for exactly who they are.

The Combatting Hate Act passed in the House of Commons this week.    That’s a huge step forward in our mission to build a stronger, safer country where everyone — no matter who they are or how they worship — can live free from violence and intimidation.

Quick question… Why does Canada, with a population of 41.5 million people, need a 23 year old kid from Utah ( Nick Shirley ) to come to Canada to expose obvious fraud & corruption? Don’t get me wrong, I love what he’s doing down there but come on…

@therealmrbench Is this really the most pressing news in Canada today? A public corporation should be able to hire the best CEO they see fit. If fitness for the role requires the CEO to be bilingual, then that's a performance issue the board can deal with.

Bloc Leader Blanchet is calling on the Carney Liberals to pressure the Air Canada board to fire CEO Michael Rousseau. The reason: an English only response after the LaGuardia crash. Of everything happening in Canada and Quebec right now… this is the priority?
The Real Mr Bench@therealmrbench

"Lack of Judgement Lack of compassion Disappointed" Those are terms Mark Carney used to describe Air Canada CEO. Reason: only giving a statement in English after the LaGuardia Airport plane crash
