@drantbradley Quality of recordings may have something to do with it. But also many more parallels between now and the late 60s early 70s than there were between the 70s and 20s. Probably more looking back now too

In 2024, young people are listening to music from the 1970s a lot - this is the same expanse of time as if you were in the 1970s listening to music from the 1920s. In the 1970s we didn't do that. We looked forward, not back. What has happened? Culture has stopped.

@drantbradley Yes, even with a lot of exposure to black middle class, doing “mercy ministry” in Atlanta warped my perspective. I’m glad I did it, but also glad to have had a number of black colleagues and friends to balance things out.

@drantbradley Following... to your related earlier post, what pastors would you point to as good examples of those equipping boys and young men to become mature and stable men? Deeply disturbing that none admire their pastor. Throw me a bone as a pastor please.
