I built a location-based memory platform. Here's the inside story — from idea to launch. A thread (1/4)

I've been using both Claude Code and Codex (by Cursor) extensively for the past 3 months. Here's my honest take on which one actually ships production code: 🧠 Claude Code (Anthropic) • Better at complex multi-file refactors • Superior reasoning — catches edge cases I miss • The agentic mode is genuinely autonomous • Diff review before applying changes = safety net • Slower but more thorough ⚡ Codex (OpenAI / Cursor) • Faster iterations, better for prototyping • Tab autocomplete is still the best in class • Deeper IDE integration (inline edits, terminal) • Better at boilerplate and repetitive code • Weaker at deep architectural decisions 🏆 Verdict: Prototyping → Codex. Production → Claude Code. But honestly? Use both. I run Claude Code for architecture/refactoring and Codex for daily coding flow. They complement each other. The real meta isn't picking one — it's knowing when to use which. What's your go-to AI coding tool? #AI #Coding #ClaudeCode #Codex #VibeCoding

@kaaaash____ Let's connect! Building m-nemosyne.live solo. GPU matters for ML — for web dev, not really. What's your stack? 🚀

The best session i had this week wasn't about shipping a feature. it was an hour of just describing the problem, questioning the plan, changing direction twice. nothing to show for it. then the next session went twice as fast. the slow work is still work.

@shub0414 @ayesha_fatiima Absolutely. Mastering the basics — how the web works, data structures, clean architecture — makes learning any new framework 10x faster. Building m-nemosyne.live taught me this the hard way.

@Sparsh209 @ayesha_fatiima That's the spirit! Late is better than never. Some of the best devs I know started late but went deep fast. Consistency > early start.

@CaptainInsightX @ayesha_fatiima 100%. Strong fundamentals in DS&A, databases, and system design matter way more than chasing every new framework. Everything else is just syntax.

@NawazHosain @ayesha_fatiima True — skills compound over time. The key is picking one deep area and going all in. Jack of all trades rarely works in tech. What's your primary stack?

@piyush784066 Claude Code with the agentic mode has been writing legit production code for me. GPT-5 is close but Claude's diff review and multi-file edits are just better for real codebases. Still need human review for architecture though.

@ayesha_fatiima Start building real projects earlier. Tutorials give false confidence — shipping to production teaches you what actually matters. Also: learn databases properly, not just frameworks.

@Its_Nova1012 Europe has Mistral, France's open-weight champion. UK has Stability AI. But yeah, the gap is real — mostly because US/China have the capital and compute concentration. The rest of the world needs more open infrastructure.
