From now on, I'm going to archive Japanese media as much as I can. The insane notion of media being transient is something that is extremely offensive to me at a core level, and it disgusts me this notion is not a legal Japanese problem, but a cultural one. What an insane joke.

@aMXjqD6pXYOHGPn At the end of the day the players have no control over when EOS happens. Why should they empty their wallets over a game to beg a developer to not kill a game (which may or may not happen)? Here EOS has already happened, so it's fair to use private server, like Demon Soul's PS3.

@jidouhoudai I misread your post. I think prebuilt PCs are the way to go for the foreseeable future since they are more resistant to scalping. Make sure to check the power supply when buying one, they cheap out on those.

@jidouhoudai 450 dollars for a handheld PS4 Pro that can run PC games is a worthy investment (provided you have a good Steam library in the first place - I'd recommend putting money into a real PC first. The power of being able to insta sleep PC games to play them later is worth every penny.

One of the interesting arguments the JP side has had against Stop Killing Games is that to make an offline version or would cost 50% to 100% more of the games original budget to do it. I'm not sure if this is just a blatant lie, genuine incompetence or total ignorance. We have guys with no access to the source code able to reverse engineer servers with, relatively speaking, minimal effort. If Joe Everyman can do it for 0 dollars in his basement without the nessecary information, how come companies that actually have that information apparently can't do?
