We must absolutely oppose any form of compromise to end-to-end encryption! Whether through side-channel attacks or the insertion of backdoors, the integrity of end-to-end encryption is completely destroyed. AI scanning is, of course, unacceptable—for the very essence of end-to-end encryption is that it involves only the two communicating parties, with absolutely no third-party presence allowed. We should be as tough as Signal.

@EuropeanPirates True, but there are workarounds. Apps can use Certificate Pinning to bypass the system's root store entirely. For browsing, using Firefox with its own independent root store allows users to manually manage and untrust suspicious CAs. As long as you control the Root of Trust
