Was so disappointed when it turned out to be what it is on the first listen. Purpose General was cool though.

China liberalized as much as its political structure allowed it until 2013 when Xi Jinping acquire dictatorship powers and reversed the trend. This also coincided by with growth slowdown in China. I encourage everyone to read Nicholas Lardy's two books on China. It follows this timeline perfectly.
