I feel like outside of political arguments. Most of us just hit a certain age where we don’t even pay attention to gas prices. Like I don’t think outside of just small talk, I’ve actually paid attention to the price of gas when I go get gas, in like 10 years. I just know I need gas, so I get the gas. The price is gonna be the price regardless. Maybe it’s just me?

@thorshammer1205 PvE mode isn’t gonna do it. It will make it worse. PvE players will cry entitlement and PvP players will call PvE players pussies. Game should stay how it is and people should play something else or remove their tampon

@Onepeg They need something tbh. The whole “get good” squad won’t keep this game afloat. It might for now. But Sony isn’t going to be ok with it just sitting where it is for months. Idk if PvE brings in more players but even if it did the intended mode would suffer until numbers go up.

@Onepeg Marathon needs better onboarding, PvE should be a good for new players to. Better understand the game before going into pvp, it shouldn't be made to replace it,but it would really help as an introduction, also we need AI controlled UESC runner squads across the board

@itrapik Do you understand the concept of “playerbase splitting”? Also gamers will quite literally try to min/max their way to the shortest distance between 2 points. If they can get it done in PvE mode and have it count for a task, they’ll do it instead. It’s already been proven

Previously, modifying variables in ConVars allowed players to see others through walls or the Veil, customize the HUD and HP bars, and gain various other unfair advantages.

@Onepeg The ONLY thing in the lore that I haven't seen a single person bring up is: how does the loot keep restocking on each run, especially when there are thousands of iterations of runs happening at once? I know it's for gameplay, but how can we kill the same Compiler repeatedly?

Ok... I'm doing a video on this, but: -the spores from the fungus that killed dr. song AND -the anomaly wall AND -the compiler in cryo AND -2 rampant AI on the surface of tau ceti AND -the cult of the tau ceti colony AND -NuCaloric ALL knowingly or uknowingly worked together to wipe out the humans on Tau Ceti. Both the anomaly and the spores on the planet's surface are sentient, and I believe are of the same "mind" (read: "influence"). Video will be published next week. It's 21 minutes long. It's tracked in its entirety and it's the MOST INTERESTING thing I've looked into in "nu Marathon's" lore.
