I would love if YouTube would treat streaming seriously, the tools streamers have are mostly for Twitch, like everything is but algorithm and discoverability. YouTube did try few years back and then gave up. Vast majority of multistreamrs only have only few people watching them on YT compared to Twitch, you have to heavily work on YT channel to get more viewers on YT than on Twitch, i only know handfull of people of such.

Live streaming is the future. But I don’t think Twitch or Kick will dominate it. The real winners will be platforms that already own: • discovery • search • algorithms • daily user habits If you hear something happening online… You don’t go to Twitch to look it up. @AverageDadLive Taking too long is Kick's #1 issue. The stubbornness of "we will figure it out ourselves" continuously puts them back year after year to its competitors.

Said this was needed 2+ years ago. If you want to help the creators you’re watching fill this in. This is data capture for demographic so creators can use/leverage their audience to brands and allow creators to get sponsorships and brand deals. Big win. Also will provide Kick data for targeted ad’s in long run - not a bad thing - they need to make money too. Shame it’s taken so long @kick but at least it’s getting there.

What’s crazy is how fast YouTube closed the gap on the Live Gaming audience. For years the argument has been “but Twitch is where you go to stream games.” Naturally as more people discover live streaming for the first time on YouTube, that narrative is going to change. I imagine more eyes will be watching YouTube Gaming streams over Twitch in a year, specially as more streamers start to multi-stream. Either way, there are MILLIONS of people that have never watched a live stream in their life, and they are scrolling YouTube and TikTok. Stop trying to funnel all of them to Twitch and own your brand across multiple platforms🫡

Creators who do heavy retention editing with animated B-roll… Do you mainly animate things in After Effects, or use something else? Also curious what sound design libraries you use for whooshes, impacts, UI sounds, etc. Trying to level up my editing before I eventually hire someone.

@Speros_OG The “best” would be ones mixed with other options like variable ND filters and shit. But unless you are shooting run and gun, your basic tiffens will do the job.
