Wow wrong and loud - classic combo. Saying “the executive can break any treaty” without context is exactly how misinformation spreads. That’s not how U.S. constitutional law works. Treaty withdrawal is legally contested territory, and Congress has already moved to restrict unilateral exit from NATO. It’s not as simple as “he can just do it.”

What if I told you that for decades, this was largely a U.S. policy -- that Europe largerly disarmed, weakened its defense industries, and handed its security over to the United States, making itself dependent? What if I told you that for decades, this arrangement suited both sides just fine? America secured its monopoly status as the world's military hegemon and the undisputed leader of the West, gained the ability to project its power across the globe, and had a massive market for its defense industry free from European competition -- all while extending its protection over its vassals-allies in return. And Europe was perfectly happy to relax under that American umbrella and spend its money on social programs and comfortable life. And then Donald Trump, at the helm of a superpower, decided that everyone owed him. That he wants a weak, dependent Europe and a vast market for American military exports -- but has no intention of honoring the part of the old bargain that involved actually protecting that same Europe. Doesn't anyone else find it hilarious that the Trump admin first screams at the top of its lungs demanding that Europe defend itself and become independent -- and then turns around and expresses displeasure that European countries are switching to their own weapons instead of signing contracts with the American defense industry?

Dr Oz served in the Turkish Army in order to keep the Turkish citizenship he inherited from his parents despite being born in the US and having US citizenship from birth. And I don’t hear MAGAs freaking out about him.

The speed at which Europe is separating itself from the US is unprecedented. I doubt Trump has understood the trading impact this is going to have across the board for the US economy. Most Americans simply do not understand how deeply their economy and income is linked to the EU

@cem_uk_ Some dipshit wrote a memo that says you can't arrest or charge a sitting president, and all the bootlicking cucks in law enforcement believed it. That means he has to be impeached first, and I've got bad news about Congress

Hey Americans, I might be a know-nothing Brit, but I can't help thinking that arresting your president for raping kids might be a better idea than letting him collapse the global economy and possibly end the world. Just a suggestion.

The craziest part about Trump being the first President to attend oral arguments at the Supreme Court is that he has been credibly accused of child rape and we need to stay focused on that.

I hear that Trump is sitting in the front row at the SCOTUS. He is the first sitting president to ever do this. All other presidents understood how inappropriate this would be. Because they weren't insane, and evil down the very marrow of their bones, like him.

Trump went to SCOTUS today, ostensibly to listen to arguments on birthright citizenship. He sat there for a while, probably not understanding much. He moved positions once. None of the Justices acknowledged his presence. He stayed for half and then left. Totally pointlessness.

If Trump (illegally) takes the U.S. out of NATO, NATO should offer full membership to Ukraine five minutes later. I mean, Ukraine is, in every practical sense, the bulwark of Europe against the war criminals and barbarians in the Kremlin.

I’ve decided to abandon my advocacy for chemistry. It’s clear to me now, thanks to the timely intervention of an anonymous X user who was well versed in popular science articles and books, that chemicals are inherently toxic and should be avoided wherever possible. After all, everything “natural” is safe, and anything synthesized in a lab must be harmful. Furthermore, the mere presence of a substance - no matter how small the dose - precludes any possibility of it being safe. I apologise for having wasted everyone’s time.

How could Trump do anything different if he was a Russian asset? The answer is nothing. Therefore where is the OUTRAGE from those on both the U.S. right and left who believe Trump is compromising our security, our alliances and our standing in the world against our enemies? Stop being COWARDS and stand up for your country vs. your re-election. Or resign.

Donald Trump is the absolute greatest gift Vladimir Putin could have ever asked for. No one in modern history has managed to divide and weaken the West at such a staggering speed. It is a total geopolitical disaster for everyone but Moscow
