@kwp1039 You can make lunch at home and take it to work for about 50 cents to a dollar. The problem is, people accept 20 dollar sandwiches and pay it. There are choices.

@Cervin1776 @aye_yo_rich Last night I made Brats with caramelized onions, sautéed green peppers and mushrooms. A side dish of fresh strawberries, blueberries and black berries for 28 cents a meal. I feed 10 people for less than $3. Knowing how to source foods, how to prepare meals makes a difference.

Learn how to cook and shop deals. I don't know who is paying 5 dollars for a loaf of bread. I eat healthy and delicious meals on about $40.00 - $50.00 a month. Chicken marsala, pot roast, meatloaf loaf, grilled chicken, soups, salads, fruit, coffee. My freezer is loaded with meals

Each state might have different rules but in my state you are punished for selling your house. When it comes to government benefits, your one main home is a freebie.. it doesn't count as an asset. But if the house is sold, that money will become an asset and they will lose their medicaid, food and other assistance. They can regain those benefits only after life has drained them of most of their money (and assets) and they have nothing to leave their children. Life can be easier, more affordable and allow for a legacy by staying in the larger house.

@Shahriar661731 You said the doctor is "Always" late. Does this type of thing happen everyday? If these type of delays happen "always", he needs to adjust his booking schedule.

My Doctor was always 45 mins late, every visit. No apology it’s just “Take a seat.” Last time I was waited 1 hour 20 mins then I left. Then wrote a Goggle review. I wasn’t mean but just honest : “Always late, brings a book. 2 stars.” He called me that night from his personal cell. “you think I’m late because I don’t respect your time ?” I said “…..yes? “

@CalamariSteven @DagnyTaggartUSA It can be. Fresh bananas, strawberries, blackberry, apples and oranges. Also onions, peppers, spinach... I picked up today. I didn't see much meat but I did pick up chicken and steaks. I know there was eggs and cheese, pastries and bread.

One week of groceries for a family. Nothing extravagant. Just the bare bones in a blue state. I stay home. My husband only leaves the house to work. We have cancelled vacations. Taken our children out of extracurricular activities. Cancelled our gym membership’s. We do not go out to restaurants frequently. I’m wearing the same old clothes that I have for years and I need socks and underwear, but that will have to, I guess, never happen. @RFKJr_Official @POTUS @JDVance HELP!

@DcCommunicator @DagnyTaggartUSA This morning I loaded several cases of free fresh apples, that a local soup kitchen couldn't use. Loaded a full trailer of free food, mostly fresh fruit, meats, bread and vegetables. The amount of food wasted in this country is staggering.

@MarkCBott @DagnyTaggartUSA How about you grab your sneakers, head to the local Aldi, Lidl and Walmart and purchase what’s reasonable. I can still find 3.99 bags of apples at Lidl and 7.99 olive oil in 8 oz containers. You’re exaggerating. I’ve never spent that much even at a damn Costco. #fakeass magat

@CalamariSteven @DagnyTaggartUSA Before you call it "slop", you should try it. I help give away $10k in food a week and help feed up to 500 people... most of it is healthy fresh food.

I would have and directed her to local food and clothing pantries. If this was in my area, I would set her up with local church pantry that would give her $300 to $500 in groceries (much of it fresh fruit and veggies, eggs and milk.) Directed to other panties that offer meals, frozen treats, and often candy to the kids. The food she is attempting to buy will not get her through the week or prevent her from needing help again.

@DagnyTaggartUSA I manage a community food pantry and we feed 300 to 500 people a week (some premade meals). My goal is 50 cents a meal. It can be done, but I am not faced with diet restrictions. What state do you live in?

@MarkCBott You don’t live where I do. It’s a tax. I tip bc there are more options for my family’s restrictive diet when I get the groceries delivered, but you’re so smart that you probably already knew that

$21 an hour full time in most cities now. After taxes and everything you’re pulling roughly $2,850 a month. One-bedroom rent anywhere jobs actually exist? $2,050-$2,300. Car note + insurance + gas = $720. Groceries for one = $480. You got negative $100 before you even buy socks or see a doctor. This is the math millions are living every single month. And they’re still being told to “budget better.”

@WallStreetApes The township board "settled". It sounds like they agreed to rezoning to prevent a costly lawsuit. More details are needed.

A small town in Michigan voted against a massive Data Center but the developers are moving ahead with the project anyway Your vote literally doesn’t even matter, they’re just going to do whatever they want It’s a huge $16 billion project for OpenAI and Oracle. Last September, Saline Township board members voted 4 to 1 against allowing a proposal for an AI data center to proceed The land has been zoned agricultural for decades, even hundreds of years. They didn't want it to become anything industrial Now 575 acres of farmland are being rezoned for the data center. The full campus footprint described as up to 21 million square feet. It’s one of the largest construction projects in Michigan history Here’s what happened - Related Digital (the developer) proposed rezoning agricultural land - September 2025: Saline Township Planning Commission and Board voted against it - Just 2 days later: Related Digital sued for “exclusionary zoning” - Township settled quickly because they were advised they couldn’t afford the ongoing lawsuit against these tech giants The plant will use the equivalent energy of 1 million homes Apparently energy usage and climate change aren’t a problem anymore. Funny how that works…. Just a couple years ago we were told not to use our air conditionings because we’d destroy the planet

🚨TRUMP JUST CALLED TWO FEMALE REPORTERS “STUPID”… AGAIN In case anyone’s keeping count: Today alone, he called not one, but TWO female reporters “stupid” to their faces. This isn’t a one-off. He’s going to keep doing it. He’s going to start calling them far worse. Because nobody in that room — or in his own party — has the spine to stop him. When does the press corps finally push back? Do YOU think this is acceptable behavior from the President of the United States? YES or NO?

The food pantry can operate under the Good Samaritan Laws.. (we also have a home cottage food laws here, which make several foods legal to make and sell from you uninspected home). The point i was trying to make is, some people like preparing food for others (strangers). Costco is a different situation. They are a business and have to protect that business. They can't have people who they have not screened representing their business. Was she trying to sell her meatballs or was she just feeding people?

@MarkCBott @MikeBales Because Costco doesn't want to be sued. She could be crazy and poisoning people. There's food preparation laws too. I can't believe a food pantry would allow it either. It only takes one psycho.

Imagine walking into Costco and being greeted by a woman dishing out 220 homemade meatballs for four hours. No one questioned it—until her “Meatball Manager (Unofficial)” badge finally got noticed.
