It needs to be made clear that land value is created by the whole community. Take away the community and land value disappears. It follows that a land value tax is a just return to the community as a whole for the value it creates by its mere existence.

@UziCryptoo Failure to pay income tax won't just make you a renter, it will make you a prison inmate. Meanwhile, everyone needs land, so paying a land value tax to prevent land monopolization and land price speculation is fair. Also, land value isn't created by the owner, but by others.

I'm not a royalist, but King Charles delivered a great speech. 👏👏👏 Let's hope Trump took note and can overcome that King Charles didn't in any way praise Donald Trump, but actually concentrated on vital, wider, greater, important issues.

Excellent speech by King Charles. So good to hear the clarion cry for Ukraine, for NATO, for nature and the environment, for democracy and the checks on power. JFK mentioned more than Trump. Starmer directly quoted. Europe mentioned several times. Vance looked ill. I loved it. Loved the confidence in British and European values

Erika Kirk would like you to know that Europe is no longer safe. Criminals have taken over. The continent has surrendered. Meanwhile, America thrives under the iron fist of Donald Trump. Right. Let’s have a look at that, shall we. Europe, for all its alleged chaos, does not routinely execute people in the street. Erika’s husband, however got shot in broad daylight in the United States – the country that is, by almost every conceivable metric, the world champion of gun violence, mass shootings, homicide by firearm, and incarceration. America locks up more people per capita than any nation on earth. It shoots more of its own citizens than most active war zones. If crime statistics were the Olympics, the US would be standing alone on the podium, weeping into its flag. And yet here is Erika, pointing at Europe. The sheer audacity of it is almost admirable. Residents across West Northamptonshire are beginning to feel the impact of the Reform administration who have only been elected for one year. After the budget was pushed through last month, the impact of the budget is now coming to fruition. Here are some of the things they've introduced through West Northants Council 👇: 🔶️ Reform are charging people to use our Country Parks, including in West Hunsbury in my ward.🌳 🔶️ Removed free parking on the weekends in out Town Centre, whilst increasing parking charges. ❌️ 🔶️ Are charging blue badge holders to park at WNC car parks 😳 🔶️ Increased Council Tax, but failed to collect the bins on the same day (you couldn't make it up). ♻️ 🔶️Increased green waste bins charges. 🚮 What they haven't done is cut waste, stop the boats or reduced Council Tax, as they promised in their LOCAL election leaflets in May 2025. Welcome to a Reform run administration 🙄😤

@philositect Unfortunately, the left has a history of supplying benefits rather than allowing equal economic opportunity. But that just raises rents and dependence. Until politicians start talking about the land issue, the plantation model will continue in its unsustainable direction.
