I’m 55 years old. I own a multimillion dollar plastic resin distribution and resale business which I started in 2003. I started another business selling rugs and home goods. Why? I want to show my kids what is possible. I also want to inspire others with my actions and share them on this platform. I’m teaching my kids and others the value of time. Time should be our #1 priority. If you work a 9-5, you are strapped to a desk, punching a clock, rushing to be there on time, negotiating for PTO, putting in your vacation time early to get the week you want. Just typing this gives me anxiety. I lived that life for 6 years in my late 20’s and one day, I just left. Gave my 2 weeks notice and had no idea what I was going to do. The day I walked out that door, my uncommon life started. For the past 23 years, I do what I want, when I want, for however long I want. I’ve attended every one of my kids games, doctors appointments, and school functions. I take 7 vacations/year and have the freedom to play golf anytime I want. People often asked me if I had a job 😏 when I’d be the only parent at my son’s college baseball game at 2pm on a Wednesday in the middle of Pennsylvania. Does this mean I don’t work hard? Quite the opposite. Technology has given me the ability to work anywhere. I’ve made deals on the beach, the golf course, at Disneyworld, at a dentist appointment, everywhere. Time has become my obsession and I want it to become yours. By the way, I run my plastic business with 3 employees. Myself, my wife and my son. You don’t need to scale to be successful. I’ve tried it. It sucks to manage drama everyday. We run lean and mean. Same for the new business. Our time is always the priority. If an idea interferes with my freedom, it doesn’t happen. Just my philosophy, you can disagree and have different priorities, but we only have so much time left on this earth and you really don’t NEED to feel strapped to a 9-5. You just need to take action. No action means no progress. It’s means nothing changes. You don’t need a 3000 sq. ft. house, 2 car payments, a Rolex, designer clothes, etc. Scale back and start valuing time. I’ll be teaching you how to live an uncommon life like me because I believe in Karma. Give me a follow and I can't wait to help you live your life to the fullest. #onelife

Someone's bettin' heavy on data cleared ipads! Closing in 14 minutes 👀 "Cosmetic condition ranges from Like New (Open Box) to Damaged. All units have been data-cleared by an R2-certified facility, however not all features have been tested. The vast majority of units have been returned by customer within less than 90 days of original purchase. 40% of units in use for 9 days or less" #reseller

Just dropped $2100 on golf clubs. 43 clubs to be exact. 3 iron sets, 1 wedge set and 11 drivers. Is that overkill to try to fix my slice? Excited to get this new product category up on my eBay store and FB Marketplace right in time for Father's Day gift purchases.

We missed out on a $350 add-on sale because of the Costco Rental Program…. What is the Costco Rental Program? It’s when you buy something use it for a short or long period of time and return it. It happens a lot as our society changes our purchasing and return behaviors. A customer came to buy a couple garden items for $250 and mentioned they saw we also had a Cantilever Umbrella. She wanted to take a look and her main objection was why would someone buy this used and not have the ability to return to Costco when it breaks? She shared how her “friend” buys a vacuum each year from Costco and will return the used one in the new box and the pointed out she understands how our reselling business is popular. She didn’t buy the umbrella. I mentioned we have had our similar umbrella for 4 years and it’s functional and looks new. You just need to not leave it up all the time so the wind destroys it. She responded yeah that takes alot Of effort…. #reseller #costco #costcorentalprogram

A scam to look out for that has happened to me. Someone on a bike purposely runs into your car. Not head on. But scrapes the side of your car and on your drivers door so you can see them do it. They make it look like they are doing it on purpose. This could most likely happen at a gas station. They will target nice cars, because those people are more likely to get mad. This is what they want you to do. They want you to get out of your car and confront them. DON'T do this. They are looking to make you mad and will confront your further if you get out. Even become violent. They are looking to draw you into an altercation so they can catch you on video with a friend recording near by. They will then try to extort money from you threatening to post the video or send it to the police. I've seen reports like this and had this happen to me. Luckily, I did not get out of my car, but I was left with a huge scratch on the side of my Escalade. Remember, it's only a car, and isn't worth risking putting yourself in a terrible situation.

I know we all benefit from COSTCO returns, but they HAVE to tighten up the return restrictions just a little? They have some…Light restrictions…. It’s interesting Costco has the lowest slippage % in retailer space..on super high volume based on receipt checking They also limit markup to around 15% on goods they sell…. They basically break even on the “retail operations” and .. Make their profit on….the hotdog…. Just kidding… It’s all about the membership revenue..:.

Google and Apple hate each other. I use Google workspace for my plastic resin business and we all have iphones. It's ludicris that we can't use google contact app on our phone to instantly import all of the data to our phones that were are accumulating on workspace. I'm considering getting a Google phone because thats what they want me to do 🤪

Fun fact Google doesn't have a Forms app on Apple. The top choices are just third party apps made by random developers. Kind of insane.

For me 2026 is the year of structure I typically don’t like structure in my business day. But the great thing is? I’m creating the structure. No one else. I control the time. Not some W2 “manager” For 23 years running Nickel City Polymers, Inc. I’ve been reacting. I do what needs to be done NEXT. I’ll still do that, but I’m adding time blocks to my calendar. Time blocks for: Prospecting Entering/paying bills Balancing bank accounts in QB Scheduling posts on LinkedIn, X, and FB Etc. This will provide me with a sense of organization and direction that I didn’t have before. Now that 5 City Liquidation Outlet and 5 City Media Group are structured to grow in 2026, Ill be doing the same for those companies. I had a long discussion with @jaredwelnowskii and we planned out the division of labor for each company. Along with my wife, we all have specific duties to drive the companies forward. I’m excited to add more structure. I’m always growing. Always learning. Always not afraid to admit that I can be doing things better. Always striving for success. This does not change my attitude regarding #8amclub I’m not blocking any time before 9am. This is my time. My time to take care of myself. My time to wake up at 6 am and work out. My time to sleep in until 7:30 if I need it. Listen to my body time. I always try things and my favorite phrase is 👉 We’re gonna find out 🤘 If you don’t take action, you’ll never find out.

@plasticboss This is what I’m leaning towards. The idea of being fully in control of my work is so foreign, yet massively appealing of course! I guess I’ll have to determine what types of investing to focus on and find some people to connect with.

So you wanna be a reseller? It’s an amazing life of freedom, but here’s the one thing you MUST be willing to do. You need to be available on your phone ALL the time. In my 23 years of reselling, my key to success was responding quicker than anyone in the industry. That speed was only amplified once I got a smartphone when they were invented. I don’t care if you’re selling on Facebook marketplace or you are in the Plastic resin business like I am or you are selling any kind of product, you need to respond quickly. For instance, if someone sends you a message on Facebook marketplace and they say “hi, is this still available?” The quicker you respond with an answer the more likely they are to see your message because they have their phone in their hand if they sent you that message. I really don’t care if it’s an automated AI iMessage they sent you were not if you respond quickly the chances of them seeing it right away go up by at least 50%. So the reselling game leads to a life of freedom, but there’s always trade-offs in a life of freedom. You can take vacations whenever you want you can take days off to take your kid to the doctor. You can go see your kids baseball, volleyball, or field hockey games, but you always have to have that phone in your hand. That’s my advice to you. The number one most important thing you need to do is respond quickly.

@plasticboss Part 2 In 2024 I created a different FB account looks almost like my original/personal account. Added, to this phone no cell plan I use home or store WiFi or hotspot on phone. Best part is I can leave at store for manager to man when I need a break.
