@FardTart @PokeCardsDaily Its pure market manipulation. don’t get me wrong. There are some new age cards that will retain good value and go up overtime but you’re absolutely right. It can’t last forever and the bubble is going to pop. I suspect it’s going to happen after the 30th anniversary.

@PokeCardsDaily It seems like the whole pokemon thing is like that. There's piles of boxed cards in people's garages everywhere. I dont get how they can be worth so much. They're not scarce, only hoarded by scalpers. This cant last forever.

Stories like this confirm my thoughts last week. Sealed product is being ripped at a pace never seen before. Rip n Ships and live breaking has forever changed the hobby. I just don’t see a future where sealed doesn’t continue to violently increase in price. The $5 pack of Pokemon cards is gone. The new norm will be $15-20. It’s the uncomfortable truth.
