Woah. Cesar Chavez was a commie, but he also hated illegal immigrants, so it's pretty interesting to see all the bastions of progressivism destroy Chavez in order to side with the pro-illegals, open borders crowd.

Some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Ok! Cut the me the checks. But if you want to supportive, maybe the first step should be go down to palm beach and see who you can bring back home

@prranch Let’s say it’s 190 but I hit 9i (stock 158). They’re talking about 190 to the pin. But it might be 10-15 yds of help and I’m trying to land it 15 short of the pin because greens are firm and I can’t go long. So that’s 30 yds short of the pin. It’s more circumstance than anything

Thoughts from Players:
-I had a decent Thursday but really struggled Friday. I think I overreacted to some swings I made on Thursday and made a couple changes Friday morning that ended up hurting me. Adjustments are tricky as the change I made to my driver swing was definitely for the better but the adjustment for the irons were for the worse.
-Cam Young is easily one of the most impressive golfers I’ve played with. I almost feel bad for the golf ball as it just gets pummeled on every golf shot. How about that freaking tee shot on 18! 😳
I think his caddie Kyle has helped him a lot with his green reading too. The guy is a supreme talent and is just getting started.
-I’ve always struggled at Sawgrass and idk when but I will come back and figure this place out. You can make a double so quickly here and I need to stay a bit more disciplined when I get in trouble. There’s plenty of birdie opportunities if you’re in the fairway, there’s just so much trouble when you’re in the thick rough. Theres almost no where to easily run it up near the green.
-Onto Valspar where I’ve fared better. I know a good stretch is coming sooner or later.

That's kind of what I figured. To be fair, my stock swing is not 100%. If I do hit it 100%, though, it's a dead left pull and I might be able to make an 8 iron go 180. 😂 I just figured stock shots for the median Tour pro would be longer than a 52 year old occasional golfer (who used to be pretty salty).

@prranch @Mike_kim714 Pros don't often swing full speed. They are marrying "enough soeed" with max control. You're prob just full speed all the time.
I saw Brandon Matthews Jr coach once admonishing him after he launched 8i "I know you can hit 8 iron 180...I wanna see you hit it 160."

@TheChadRyan In 5th grade All Stars I got rung up for the last out of our tournament on 3 straight pitches in the other batters box. I'll never forget it and Dad was mad I didn't swing. That pitch last night was an actual strike. A great one. He should feel bad for taking it.

Folks out here complaining about the called 3rd strike to end the WBC semifinal last night. If you think that was a ball, you’ve never played baseball in your life.
With 2 strikes against you and THAT pitch coming in, you swing the damn bat or you’re getting rung up every time.

@OSS_1970 Very few people down here are restocking because of sale barn prices. Lots of empty pastures here and out west of here, too. Good to hear y’all are stocked, though. I’m all for ending CRP permanently. Just don’t know where affordable starters would come from.

As someone who doesn’t want any Mexican cattle to ever cross the border again, putting CRP back in play could help. I’ll let you do the math.

As someone who has broken 1,210ac of CRP myself, I don’t think it’s lack of “grazing land” that contributes to low herd numbers: I believe it is lack of people who WANT to graze land/do animal ag that has made this contribution.

@OSS_1970 Isn’t the problem that producers and feedlots are competing for a limited number of domestic calves? Producers trying to rebuild beards after drought, but a limited supply. I mean, I hate the very idea of CRP … but I don’t think we need more pasture, we need more calves.
