Your "free" internal tool is costing you $50K/year. Everyone loves "we built it in-house." But 2 senior devs maintaining it (40% of their time) + unpredictable server costs + opportunity cost of what you didn't build instead = 💸 When did you last audit your internal tools?

Apple Store rejected our latest update because we used Apple's Foundation Models to format text. Apple says we are using ChatGPT and that is not allowed in China. I am not sure if Foundation Models use ChatGPT for on-device intelligence. Has anyone else experienced this?

The new Qwen 3.5 by @Alibaba_Qwen running on-device on iPhone 17 Pro. Qwen 3.5 beats models 4 times its size, has strong visual understanding, and can toggle reasoning on or off. The 2B 6-bit model here is running with MLX optimized for Apple Silicon.

@adamlyttleapps Co-working spaces are never productive for me either. So many distractions.

Last week I tried working in a coworking space and remembered immediately why I don't like it The noise. The lights. The people. It was too distracting. I like my little nook at home and seem to get more done (even with kids bouncing off the walls)

Watching employees closely doesn’t make them work better. Biometric attendance. Constant pressure. HR policies designed more for surveillance than support. Managers measuring hours instead of outcomes. I’ve seen this across many companies and honestly, it rarely creates great work. It creates fear, silence, and burnout. Yes, structure matters. Yes, some roles and some team members need clearer boundaries and discipline. But there’s a line and too many companies cross it. When you hire someone, you’re partnering with them. You don’t own them. Adults don’t suddenly become more creative, loyal, or productive because their fingerprint was scanned at 9:01 instead of 9:00. What they do become is disengaged. One interesting example often mentioned is Telegram. They’ve publicly shared that they operate with minimal bureaucracy and without traditional HR structures, focusing instead on trust, autonomy, and responsibility. That doesn’t mean “no rules.” It means fewer performative rules and more accountability based on real impact. And it works because talented people don’t need to be policed. They need clarity, respect, and room to do meaningful work. Here’s the part many leaders avoid saying out loud: Overbearing HR practices often exist to compensate for weak leadership. If you don’t trust your team, no system will fix that. If you don’t respect their time, no policy will earn their loyalty. Culture isn’t built through control. It’s built through trust, fairness, and mutual respect. @thepenguintech is intentionally moving away from these outdated cultures. We believe in ownership over micromanagement. Outcomes over optics. Humans over processes. We want people to work with us, not feel like they’re working under us. Because great products aren’t built by monitored employees. They’re built by trusted teams.

@saifcodes Haha, and the next stage of growth is replying to those reviews differently. I used to be like "Sorry you didn't find enough value in the free plan, we offer a trial, etc" and now Im like "If you dont want to pay for the things you need then move on young fella 👋"

When I was but a young lil' pup, these reviews used to *kill* me. But eventually, you become a hardened warrior, undeterred by reviews complaining about charging for your work, or not agreeing with design decisions you made. Keep on rollin' friends, these reviews happen to all of us 🍻
