Research can't tell teachers what to do—classrooms are too complex for that ever to be likely. But research can identify "best bets" for improving practice, and the Great Teaching Toolkit Evidence Review is pretty much the state of the art in this regard: greatteaching.com

Parent hat (as opposed to teacher hat): Despite announcements, My child will not b returning to school unless I have better clarification about why it’s safer for them to be in a more crowded place @ school than anywhere else. 1 case of #Covid_19australia for our home is plenty.

Whoa!! I’m sorry but it is NOT FAIR to guilt trip teachers like this! How about a PM who forces teachers into a choice between teaching and their own welfare?! Children’s education has often been disrupted - wars, bushfires, illness etc. Ok have the convo but don’t guilt trip
