@LewisThompson7 @CarlFoxy91 It's a shame. Extra striker or no extra striker from the transfer window, we can repeatedly think about fine margins and how one chance taken could have made the difference - 0-0, 1-1, 0-1, 1-1, 0-0, 1-2 and 2-2 from the last nine games alone.

@CarlFoxy91 It's fine margins, but those games against Oxford, Charlton etc, where we couldn't put our chances away and struggled to break teams down, have killed us, meant we turned Millwall and tonight into must wins, increased the pressure, which hasn't helped with the run we've been on

If you take the game in isolation, hard to be critical, much the better side, thought we played well for large spells, just two moments of complete madness Obviously, the bigger picture means playoffs looking more and more likely, but hard to have a go at them for today

@MarkDavies67 Ipswich games in hand or not - and it's sort of more one than two, as we still have to play them - I'm nonetheless thinking, we are joint second with five games to go, and all this despondency. There doesn't need to be.

We seem to have blown a massive opportunity to go up to the PL, get battered every week and meekly relegated.

@p_isno1 @Smithy_MFC84 To be fair… It’s not uncommon for promoted teams to spend big, plentiful or both. Also? Fischer, Adama, De Roon, Fabio and Chambers were gifted or highly rated. Negredo had proven pedigree. The problem, I think, was how transition and integration were handled.

@Smithy_MFC84 One of the biggest frustrations of that season is the absolute waste of a promotion it was. If we’d recruited properly and built on what was there instead of allowing cliques to form and fracture the dressing room.

Loved that team almost as much as I loved the 94/95 incarnation. My only gripe is that because of how sour it turned just months later, that squad is tainted slightly, but it doesn’t lessen the affection I have for them. 2015/16 will remain one of my standout #Boro seasons.

@mar_boro14 I was devastated afterwards, but happier after Millwall’s game. “Bottling it” is common for all teams when the big prize gets closer, especially now. I get the cause for concern but we are still in a great position with eight games to go, surely more calm is called for?

I’ve really liked Castledine so far (barring his heading) and we’re in a position where we need our best and most inform XI out every game. I’d take him over Sarmiento & Whittaker right now, and would love to get him in the team alongside McGree rather than instead of McGree.
