Update: The Senate is planning another vote TOMORROW on DHS funding, as R's try to amp up pressure for a deal Senators are then staying through the weekend w/ SAVE America Act debate ongoing. Weekend votes could include a cloture vote on an amendment to SAVE on SATURDAY On SUNDAY, a cloture vote is expected on MULLIN's nomination for DHS secretary, followed by final vote on MONDAY

NEW: HSGAC Chair RAND PAUL did not attend the committee's SCIF meeting this afternoon with Sen. Markwayne Mullin to talk about a 2016 "classified" trip he took, per multiple sources Paul & HSGAC top Dem Peters pushed Mullin for more details on the trip during his public hearing this morning. Paul said he'd cancel tomorrow's committee vote on Mullin's nomination for DHS if he didn't provide more clarity Sen. LANKFORD was the only HSGAC Republican who attended the SCIF meeting. Lankford said afterward that the trip was subject to an NDA - not classified w/ @AndrewDesiderio

INSIDE THE ROOM w @bresreports -- BLOW UP IN RSC -- RSC is meeting today. Nebraska Rep. DON BACON brought a hemp lobbyist to the meeting and yielded time to him to speak. ANDY HARRIS said he would resign from the RSC RSC Chair AUGUST PFLUGER said it was inappropriate for Bacon to bring the lobbyist BACON told us he apologized and should've spoken to Pfluger first. The lobbyist was a friend from Nebraska who wanted to talk to RSC about their issues.

AOC Austin wants to do the Rayburn renovation in two phases to maximize efficiency. There are plans, he said, if members and staff can't work in Rayburn but there's not many "swing spaces" available.
