I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense. Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. @SaraHigdon What defense? This guy is literally on video committing murder. The extent of the trial should be watching the video, proving it’s him in the video, which will take a grand total of 5 minutes, and locking him up.
