The spectacle of President Trump and Vice President JD Vance bullying President Zelensky was absolutely shaming. In the office that once housed Roosevelt and Reagan and in the shadow of Churchill’s bust, this unseemly row is beneath the office of the US President. I have just returned from Ukraine near the front line and both Trump and J D Vance should go and see the appalling devastation that I have seen, inflicted on Ukraine by Putin.
