If you agree that Rarara who is versed in QURANIC knowledge, can read and write in Arabic text, Hausa and Ajami is an illiterate, then by extension you’re agreeing that all our ulama that didn’t acquire western education are illiterates, all major Muslim scholars that shaped the western knowledge and sciences like Alkwarizmi, Algorithm founder, Abysina et al are illiterates. Even the Malamai in your Zaure that can teach any Islamic jurisprudence book and Shehunnai are illiterates. Mu din ga wa kan mu adalchi and stop being emotional.

My kids spent mid term at my parents, meanwhile my Dad has been in the hospital for 2weeks now. Immediately they came back, my daughter goes; Hanan: Mummy, now I know why you use to hype your dad so much Me: what happened? Her: do you know that grandpa sent money for masa everyday from the hospital? Me: Really? In unison: Yes, everyday he sends money to Uncle M to buy masa for us This has been his practice everyday on every of their visits. They love masa so much and he indulges them. Not even pains of surgery could stop or make him forget. I’m just happy my kids got to experience & enjoy the man that raised me to be so full of love, no man comes close to my father in loving his children. Ya Allah you see my heart and know how much this man deserves to be cared for, bless me to do as a child should. Grant him complete shifa and do not take him away from us yet. Rabbi irham umma kama rabayyani soghira.

Me: Dad I want to make my hair Him : Go and make it now Me: Money Him: How much? Me 3500 ( in my head; attachment x2=800, stylist=1000, transport and miscellaneous =1000. Pocket the rest) Him: Ha! Isn’t it better if you barb it? My barber takes 100, it is when I want to dash him money that I pay 200 Me: OK goes back to my room 30 minutes later Him: Aren’t you making your hair again? Me: But you said I should go and cut it now Him: you better do quick. I will not wait for you o. I’m going to town now. Me : Rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready He drops me at the saloon Him: Call me him when you’re done and gives me 3500 2hrs later he calls, are you done? I’m going home o Me: We’re not even half done. I’ll just meet you at home Him: aren’t you hungry Me: I am very hungry, but I’ll just buy mineral and biscuits. Him: OK don’t stay out too late. Me: OK sir A few moments later he calls again to ask how many of us were in the saloon? My dad brought food for all 3 of us. The woman making my hair asked if he was my boyfriend and I said my Dad, the other lady said maybe she is his only child. This man has 9 of us and he is like that with every single one He went ahead to wait 2 extra hours just to take me home, so I don’t have to go home by myself at night. Also the first to compliment my hair even though he complained about it being too much and too long. That man has loved me my entire life, being actively present and I would give him the entire universe if I could.

@GrowthStacks @muminattaofeek Let her be arrogant. She'll be judged by her Lord. Are men also not arrogant when they acquire wealth? In fact, it is difficult to see an extremely wealthy man not into any form of fornication. In short, we'll all be judged by our Lord. So, let's stick to the teachings of Islam.

There is a particular kind of manipulation that thrives in Nigerian Muslim communities and it has been so normalized that most women do not even recognize it when it is happening to them. It sounds like this: "A woman who chases money will forget her home." "Financial independence will make her arrogant." "She doesn't need to work, that is the man's responsibility." And because it is delivered wrapped in religion, most women swallow it whole. But here is what nobody tells you that is not Islam. That is insecurity dressed in a jalabiya. The Quran gave women property rights over 1400 years ago when Europe had not even conceptualized the idea. Khadijah (RA) was one of the wealthiest merchants in Mecca. She employed the Prophet ﷺ before he became a Prophet. Her financial power never made her less of a wife, less of a Muslimah, or less of a woman. It made her one of the greatest human beings to ever walk this earth. So when did we decide that a woman knowing her money is a threat? I will tell you when. The moment men realized that a woman with options is a woman they cannot manipulate. Financial dependency is not modesty. It is a control mechanism. And we have been conditioned to protect it by calling it deen. I have always believed that money is not a man's conversation it is a human necessity. And as a Muslim woman specifically, understanding wealth is not rebellion. It is your right. It is your protection. It is quite literally built into your religion. Nobody should have to be Beg for maintenance, stay in a toxic marriage because they cannot afford to leave, or shrink their ambitions because a man's ego is more comfortable with their ignorance. Women like @ronkecarew exist in this space and remind me that this is not a radical opinion. It is simply what happens when you actually read when you go back to the source instead of inheriting somebody's cultural anxiety and calling it faith. Know your deen. Own your money. They were never in conflict to begin with. 🤍

@muminattaofeek What "real men" are scared of is not a woman's money - it's how she will behave when she has it ! Will she still submit ? Or will she be arrogant ? Sorry but this is where most women FAIL !!!

As a woman, one of my proudest academic achievements wasn't just earning certificates or completing courses it was turning knowledge into impact. My journey in cybersecurity led me to author CYBERTEENZ, a book designed to help teenagers navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and confidently. Every certification, late-night study session, and challenge along the way reminded me that education is not just about personal success, it's about creating solutions that benefit others. To every woman pursuing a degree, certification, research project, or professional qualification keep going. Your achievement may become the inspiration, opportunity, or protection someone else needs.

I saw a video of soldiers exchanging fire with terrorists, and one of the soldiers shouted: حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ "Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs." It looked like a scene from a video game, but it was real life. In moments where most people would be overwhelmed by fear, hearing those words being recited was powerful. These are not just soldiers. They are someone's husband, father, brother, or child. Let's always remember them in our prayers and ask Allah to protect them wherever they are. Perhaps my mind is drawn to the military because it was once a path I wanted to pursue. May Allah keep them safe and return them to their families in goodness.
