We are now in a weird era where a guy gets publicly shamed for running his sprinklers on a Tuesday, while a data center the size of a Costco quietly drains a reservoir so AI can generate a picture of your cat as a medieval knight. And the data center gets a tax incentive for it.

I agree! Energy efficiency will define the future of AI computing.. This new company, Mythic or ARM, will be the prime beneficiary of this transition. ARM already makes super efficient CPU's (that's why they are in nearly every phone) and they will release an energy efficient chip soon.
