@IAtalkspace That's it. I was trying to convince a nail tech to start collecting her customer's data intentionally, I went on to explain why it's important bla bla bla and I was struck when she told me "I have all of them on my WhatsApp". I rest.

Because the TAM is extremely small and hasn't expanded much during those 26 years — although things are changing post-2022 thanks to fintechs formalizing SMEs. For example, an auto spare parts vendor in Owode could use a CRM to manage customer conversations but only handful of them do this today. A roadside food vendor, and there are many of them, could use a CRM tool for geo-marketing to boost sales, but most don't even know that this is a thing outside of one-off "patronize me" influencer marketing. If these businesses don't adopt or know they should be using these tools, then there'll be no CRM market expansion.

It’s been 26 years and there’s still no CRM tool purposely built for African (Nigerian) businesses that meets us at our point of need and pocket.

Jokes apart, this thing na one of the reasons wey make Oyibo dey ahead of us for development. Them sabi advance planning die. Last year (2025), one Oyibo tell me say her wedding na for June 2027. Person plan wedding two years in advance. The matter burst my brain. But this thing na very simple logic oh: plan ahead to be ahead. You sef reason am: my school dey Spring semester like this but students don already know the names of the professors wey go teach every course for next Summer and Fall. Like this, if I wan plan my holiday for 2028, my school get 2028 calendar as I dey type like this, so I fit see when school go close and deadline to submit grades for that academic year. Na why I dey always laugh when our country people talk say them dey hardworking pass Oyibo. Hardwork no be the physical labor, na the brain work wey dey precede the physical labor.
TobyWrites@tobyasky

Oyinbo people too funny mehn, na dem plan pass. My friend tell me say e don book hin holiday for 2028 summer..how na

One of the dangerous things about our society now is that people who see you and to them you appear to be doing well, somehow resolve that you have to be into fraud. Random, unexpected message from the guy that painted my house. It’s extremely worrisome.

@omoalhajaabiola Yeahhh... Seeing what @cursor_ai is doing with CafeCursor in some countries is brilliant. Digital channels can be noisy. Plus, the best teams are using events as the “signal boost” that everything else (content, SEO, social) feeds off, not as a side activity.

Not only B2b but also AI labs as they are starting to realize that capability alone isn’t enough to reach everyday users. To cross that gap, they need to make the technology legible through real-world experiences that feel intuitive, human, and memorable. Digital channels are boring The next wave of winners are the ones who can translate best technological products into experiences people can feel and understand. Cashout moments for those in brand storytelling and event coordination/management

If poorer nations became fully developed and stable, migration would drop and richer countries would face shortages of cheap labor and raw resources. It feels like there’s a deliberate effort to keep things that way

Around 2012, I was struggling to find my place in tech. Then Facebook posted a photo of its engineering team and I saw a Black engineer who looked like me. I later learned he was Nigerian. His name was Ola. That moment made the dream feel possible. I kept that photo as my screensaver for 3+ years. Every time I felt like quitting, I reminded myself:
“If he can do it, why not me?” Today, @ola works at OpenAI. And after 14 years, I finally get to meet him. You never know who’s watching you…
Or whose life you’re changing just by showing up.

@AdewuyiRoseline 😀 Tiktok can be like that sometimes. It will eventually see your values and match you with your audience pool. You could try using their features a lot more. They need people to use it, so they reward the ones who try.

30,000 followers… wow. I remember when I started on Twitter, constantly disturbing my friend with “I don’t even understand how this thing works—teach me.” I really had no clue. I stayed, I kept posting, and somehow, it became one of the most powerful tools in my journey. Twitter has given me visibility in ways I didn’t imagine. So many opportunities have come from here. Most of my collaborations in Nigeria started from connections I made right on this app. It taught me the power of positioning and visibility. It is funny because Twitter is known for short posts, but my style has always been different. I write epistles, long which is pretty unconventional and somehow, those are the ones that resonate the most. Thank you for reading them. For engaging, reposting, supporting, and rooting for me. I don’t take it for granted 🤍

i went to clickup.com. opened the page source. found a hardcoded API key in the javascript. copied it. sent one GET request. got back 959 email addresses and 3,165 internal feature flags. employees from Home Depot. Fortinet. Autodesk. Tenable. Rakuten. Mayo Clinic. Permira. Akin Gump. government workers from Wyoming, Arkansas, North Carolina, Montana, Queensland Australia, and New Zealand. a Microsoft contractor. 71 clickup employees. fortinet sells enterprise firewalls. tenable makes Nessus, the vulnerability scanner half the industry runs. their employees emails are exposed because clickup hardcoded a third party API key in a javascript file that loads before you even log in. this was first reported to clickup through hackerone on January 17, 2025. its now April 2026. the key has not been rotated. i just pulled the response five minutes ago. every email is still there. clickup raised $535 million at a $4 billion valuation. claims 85% of the Fortune 500 use their platform. looks like the proof is in the page source.
