We all know what the UAP Task Force's purpose was: to investigate UAPs. At least, that's what the government told us. But evidence shows that within this SECRET 'charter' for the task force's creation, the background, and the majority of the 'focus areas' of the study are entirely classified. If we the people were told what this task force was all about, why is the evidence that should simply explain the same thing, entirely hidden from you?

Open Source Anomalous has recently received FOIA release of State Dept Airgram (78 STATE 232261, 9/13/78) which reveals U.S. procedures for crashed objects in foreign countries, tied to Project Moon Dust. Referencing 1973 guidance (Airgram A-6343), it shows tight control over "space object" recoveries, including possible UFOs. Key points: -Back-channel comms via Defense Attaches bypassed formal routes for covert ops. -State Dept acted as gatekeeper, controlling narratives around crashes. -Cleared personnel (science/defense attaches) ensured compartmentalized handling. -Vague wording & delayed ID created plausible deniability while intel teams probed objects.

This example is from 1953, and may well mark the beginning of a process or understanding that sees reports of anomalous aerial activity forwarded to the US DATT/ARIA from the RAAF and/or Directorate Air Force Intelligence.
