Research is showing trans girls are 19% kg for kg weaker than c_s girls and and they have less leg strength and lower endurance levels than c_s girls. Alvares & colleagues suggests that trans women can produce less force per gram of muscle than both c_sgender women & c_sgender men and combined with VO2 peak/FFM findings, possible cellular dysfunction in the muscle of trans women [Alvares et al., 2022]. An INTERNATIONAL LEVEL trans woman CYCLIST in this study demonstrated an ~15% LOSS of aerobic capacity with 3 months of GAHT & a 19-33% & 15-30% LOSS of lower and upper body strength respectively with 18 months of GAHT. There have been 13 Olympics that have allowed trans women to compete in the female category if they meet the hormonal and physical requirements of the trans sports policy. The results over 13 Olympic games suggests trans women massively underperform in elite womens sports. Since the IOC has created a rule for trans athletes to compete in 2003, over 81,000 people have become Olympians. Out of those 81,000 Olympians a total of 2 have been trans women & one came dead last the other came 37th out of 42. There isn’t a single trans or intersex woman dominating her sport. Even Caster Semenya, the most famous, & most successful, intersex woman athlete doesn’t “dominate” her sport. Caster has won a total of two Olympic golds medals & holds no world records.  By contrast, Katie Ledecky has won a total of 9 Olympic gold medals and has broken 19 world records since 2013. Why is Katie Ledecky treated like a marvel, and Caster Semenya and transgender women are treated like mutants? There currently exists no evidence to suggest that trans women who elect to suppress testosterone (through, for example, gender affirming hormone therapy and/or surgical gonad removal) maintain disproportionate advantages over c_swomen indefinitely. Trans women on HRT experience hot flashes, breast development, fat redistribution, and muscle atrophy that cis men simply don't. We're physically closer to cis women than our former selves. If you actually cared about "biological reality," you'd acknowledge hormones drive these characteristics, not chromosomes. You don't check anyone's karyotype before treating them as their observed sex. Treat trans women as women (because we are) and stop being an asshole.

The spark that lit the war on trans people in the UK started when I went on BBC Woman’s Hour in 2017. At the time I was an ITV Loose Woman and Channel 5 newsreader. I was invited onto WH for what I was expecting to be a regular light showbiz interview - but straight away, Jenni Murray was snotty as hell - asking “What qualifies YOU to present a show for women? Have you even read Sheila Jeffries? Should women shave their legs?” Peering like an owl over the glasses perched on the bottom of her nose. A few days later, she wrote a hit-piece double-page spread in The Times, saying I wasn’t a real woman, and all the usual terf garbage we now hear every day. Really horrible stuff. I complained - and the BBC suspended her for six months. Unthinkable now! Murray was removed from Woman’s Hour. Big story. The Right Wing press went absolutely ballistic - and from that point in early 2017, the UK ‘Gender Critical’ movement took off.

From a supposed population of 49,000 (ONS Census), as opposed to 30 million women, there are around 150 transwomen, to just under 100 women
