If Karmelo Anthony was my son, I would’ve been at Jeff Metcalf’s family’s door begging for peace and forgiveness. Not raising hundreds of thousands of dollars, crying broke for a public defender, and turning the whole thing into a racial circus. Metcalf’s family showed more restraint than most people ever could. Monetizing your child’s worst moment instead of owning it and trying to make things right with the family he destroyed doesn’t look like love. It looks like exploitation.

Jeff Metcalf forgave Karmelo days after his son was murdered. Then, he went to the Anthony’s press conference to stave off the racism narrative, pray, embrace and cry together with the family. What did the Anthony family do? Hired a racist, felon spokesman, remove Jeff from the conference, play victim, make T-shirts of “#believe Karmelo,” cry the witnesses lied, cry foul on an “all white jury,” cry about the Metcalf’s asking for Karmelo to look them in the eye during the victim statement’s, complain his sentence was too long, etc. This family was swatted 6 times, blacks yelling “I’m happy Austin’s dead” as Hunter and the mother left court. This was a layup and the black community has lost all credibility.
