Last night, @ICEgov conducted a targeted enforcement operation in Brooklyn that resulted in the arrest of Chidozie Wilson Okeke, a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria with previous arrests for ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL DRUG POSSESSION. During his arrest, Okeke refused to comply with officers’ lawful commands to exit the vehicle and weaponized his vehicle to attempt to hit ICE officers. Okeke became physically combative attempting to punch and elbow ICE officers. Our officers followed their training and used the minimum amount of force necessary to make the arrest.    After his arrest, Okeke requested medical assistance, so ICE officers escorted him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for a medical evaluation. Okeke remained non-compliant during the medical evaluation throwing himself to the floor and screaming. The medical staff cleared him.   During the medical evaluation, a significant crowd of anti-ICE agitators gathered at the hospital and became violent. The protestors damaged several ICE vehicles and assaulted ICE officers, resulting in minor injuries to the officers. Assaulting law enforcement is a felony and crime   Officers from the New York Police Department responded to the scene and arrested several rioters.

It's as if Ken Griffin doesn't understand that the reason (or at least an important reason) people work is to earn an income. Once someone has accumulated $10 million, the money itself is more than sufficient to earn a very high income at basically no risk at losing capital (because a very low percentage of 10 million is still a lot of money). There comes a point when the money can make money more efficiently than a person can.

I'm sure Tucker is very gracious and kind to the people he interacts with. That does not change that he's promoting fundamentally toxic ideas on his program, such as the notion that radical Islamic terrorism is no big deal.

@DanFriedman81 Even if you sent these kids to Phillips Exeter or Horace Mann, the results probably wouldn't be much different. If a kid can't do basic reading or phonics, it means parents don't care. No way a kid reaches high school without reading unless parents are checked out.

The schools that educate these students spend more than $20k per student per year, and the Philadelphia public school budget is $4.6 billion per year. This is the result. Public schools in large cities are grotesquely failed and mismanaged institutions. The schools operate off of fraudulent and discredited pedagogies that don’t work, they are clogged with excess layers of bureaucracy and administration who siphon billions of dollars of taxpayer money for their make-work email jobs that provide no benefit to students and the results are catastrophic. Every public school should have to compete for funding with private and charter operations through a voucher program that makes state and city funding portable to any school a student wants to take it to. When kids and families are empowered by choice, nobody will choose this.

Absolutely terrible advice and a great example for why young men are miserable, lonely, and exhibiting antisocial behaviors. Telling people to "go to a beautiful dinner" and "sit court-side at the Knicks" is extremely tone-deaf in this terrible economy. We can't afford that.
