@Coachbenjamin_ Lost 4 months on a collaboration where I brought every single registrant and the other person brought zero. That mistake cost me more than time. The expensive lessons aren't the ones where you fail openly. They're the ones where you ignored what your gut already told you.

@jimheskel Building a speaking business on the side of everything else. Some weeks I'm the sales team, content writer, coach, and accountant. The doubt isn't "can this work?" It's "can I hold all these roles?" Joined a mastermind last year and that room alone cut the doubt in half.

In a bigger business you doubt the machine. In a lean solo business you doubt the person. And the person is you. "Am I good enough?" lives where the spreadsheet used to. The doubt is louder. But one good conversation dissolves 3 days of it. That tells you how real it was.

@dickiebush My first 10 coaching sessions were brutal. Talked too much, listened too little, gave advice nobody asked for. But those bad reps taught me what no course ever could. Session 50 looked nothing like session 1. You can't shortcut the cringe phase. You just have to outlast it.

@CliftonSellers Did something similar with my coaching sales calls. Fed my last 20 discovery calls into Claude and asked "what objection do I handle worst?" Turns out I was fumbling the pricing conversation every time. Fixed that one thing and my close rate jumped 40% in a month.

@VelariCapital My coaching clients assume I have all the answers. I don't. What I have is a process for asking better questions. The coach is a GPS, not the driver. You still choose the destination. Most people don't need more information. They need someone to walk the road with them.

I used to coach clients who wore their 5am wake-ups like badges of honor. Then they'd crash by week 3 and blame their diet. When I was at my heaviest at 100kg, the thing that kept me stuck wasn't laziness. It was never pausing long enough to let my body actually recover between sessions. Rest isn't the opposite of progress. It's where progress consolidates.
