One fly in the ointment for today's northern mode appears to be a modeled zone of elevated moisture ahead of the primary front, which could release elevated buoyancy. This may result in a proliferation of weaker-shear, "popcorn" storms in addition to supercells.

Today's thoughts on the severe threat today, for most of the risk area.

Slightly difficult to think that something won't happen today with these 0-6km shear vectors. Regardless of storm mode, gonna be wimdy #iawx

It’s June 14th 2026. 5000J/KG of CAPE. Outflow boundary seen on satellite in central Nebraska. Wind shear is pleasant. You watch as multiple towers start going up near the boundary.

@AnubizzzBurner Maybe a very weak area of surface convergence, you're looking for wind vectors that are accelerating towards eachother (i.e.( ->|<-))
