Claims of this nature require thorough investigation, transparency, and accountability. If these allegations are true, this would constitute a horrific crime. If they are false, then it represents a deeply dangerous act of fabrication that fuels fear and instability. In either case, silence and indifference only contribute to greater insecurity and mistrust. This is especially concerning after the case of #Masoud_Masjoodi, who was allegedly killed in Canada by 2 Pahlavi supporters, another incident like this would point to a deeply troubling trend. If confirmed, this would mark yet another crime associated with that same network of actors. Past experience has shown that ignoring threats and warning signs carries real consequences.
