@BryceJohanneck @gator_91 Depends, how critical is whatever that device controls?
English

@PaulTassi @Forbes Paul if you could put 300 hours into TFD you really need to give Warframe a proper chance lol
English

Live Looter ‘The First Descendant’ Has Lost 96% Of Its Playerbase In Six Months via @forbes forbes.com/sites/paultass…

English

@Umbrance1 @PaulTassi to be fair it's not really a space AK it's just an AK that you can bring to space
English

@PaulTassi They added a space AK, that’s kinda what brought me back. Didn’t know about this til after I got my rifle
English

Okay I have completely lost track of Warframe
WARFRAME@PlayWarframe
Today's the big day, Tenno! Make yourself presentable with your finest Drifter fashion and get ready for your first smooch of 2025 (at least in-game). It's New Year's Eve in Höllvania and The Hex are ready for romance, or simply something a bit friendlier if you prefer.
English

@GhostRabbiit @PaulTassi good Drifter fashion
English

@PaulTassi Simply play 300hrs of warframe and it'll all make perfect sense trust me (do it it's worth it)
English

@mailmanbabygame @PaulTassi Every day that passes the Steam review that you need to use drugs to understand the story becomes true, I love this fucking game hahaha
English

@egreghost extremely difficult to solve, especially as technical experts are in short enough supply as it is, and the government jobs are largely (correctly from what I hear) believed to suck
English

We still do not have a solution to this problem:

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet I'm trying to be nice and summarize for you but here, knock yourself out if you want source documents, see if I care epri.com/research/produ…
English

@worstcaseeng @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet Despite evidence to the contrary, I remain hopeful that you are about to post something that describes this as an issue.
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet In the exact same way that utilities and power sellers ignored the climate impacts of fossil fuels, the market has found out how to make money on solar and wind and is recklessly driving systems to a fragile state, and those of us who know are largely ignored
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet This has nothing AT ALL to do with the interconnection process or individual IPPs, this is a broad, regional system operations issue that has been constantly discussed at every major system protection conference for the last decade. It is not solved
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet Yeah lots of people are interested finally, what are they doing about it? We getting syncons finally? Movement on the flywheels Australia was originally trying out some years back? What's being deployed at scale?
English

@worstcaseeng @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet What evidence do you have that says "fault current is not being dealt with"? I can tell you every new connection I've done in the last ten years has been very interested in fault currents.
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet The issue is that fault current is *not* being dealt with, that's why these concerns exist, and having talked to them at various times on here I'm pretty sure that is a part of the concerns yeah.
English

@worstcaseeng @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet I didn't ask you for an explanation, I asked Nick or Xiao to explain the thing they are worried will occur. The fault current planning that you describe is indeed a problem, and something that is managed as part of normal network planning. Is that Nick's concern? You don't know.
English

@GlenneDrover @nicknet100 @xiaowang1984 @evcricket @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet Frustrating to me as a transmission nerd that every time I catch an AEMO presentation on system protection it's focused on the distribution side lol
English

@worstcaseeng @nicknet100 @xiaowang1984 @evcricket @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet Yes there are many n-1 transmission equations for those (thankfully rare) events.
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet I'm not sure what you think you mean by that but that's an incredibly dismissive-sounding response to someone trying to explain a complex engineering issue to you, as you requested
English

@worstcaseeng @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet This is just network planning.
English

@GlenneDrover @xiaowang1984 @ChomskyChannel @evcricket @nicknet100 @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet It's at least before I saw it proposed, I'm not sure how extensive their deployment of it has been since then
English

@xiaowang1984 @ChomskyChannel @evcricket @nicknet100 @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @worstcaseeng @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet Isn't that the July 2022 doc?
Before the dynamic UFLS system was implemented?
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet it's more like the 2003 North American blackout - too many pieces of the Jenga tower removed, to the point where the wrong failure at the wrong time leads to a cascading blackout. Something working under normal or even N-1 conditions is no proof of resiliency
English

@evcricket @xiaowang1984 @nicknet100 @GlenneDrover @joelmcourtney @LesleyG78347579 @DavidOsmond8 @AvivCoko @jm493_au @flexibledragnet And even the ones that do work adequately (mostly just looking at line current differential systems here) don't have functioning backup systems the way they were designed to have. I think it's critical to understand here that this isn't a concern about some immediate failure,
