@wrightemma429 Hello' it's unfortunate for the challenge encountered. We would like to closely took at the concern raised. Please, share with us via DM your phone number to allow us probe further. @wrightemma429
@CrossCountryUK So do the bus drivers know about accepting train tickets? If I wasn’t on here questioning we wouldn’t know. These things are not easy to find out. I’m not assuming I am trying to find out what help and whether she can get alternative solutions due to your poor service
@wrightemma429 Sorry you feel that way. We strongly advise checking online as the information is out there, or even with us on X, Instagram or Facebook if required, prior to buying tickets that don't need to be bought, rather than assume that no help can be given. ^DA
@CrossCountryUK trains are shocking from university of Birmingham. So unreliable. My daughter keeps loosing money as having to change and pay more due to this or having to get alternative transport and paying for that when she’s paid for return tickets. Appalling
@wrightemma429 Well she need not have done that. Buses were accepting train tickets today as stated on National Rail Enquiries: nationalrail.co.uk/service-disrup… and as previously mentioned, no added train tickets need to be purchased. ^DA
@wrightemma429 We appreciate it is frustrating, however we cannot run trains if trees are blocking the line like today or run trains through stations where there is no signalling like yesterday, both of which is beyond a train operators' control. ^DA
@wrightemma429 Unfortunately there was a tree on the line at Kings Norton meaning some services to/from University could not call there. Was there a specific train that has affected your daughter today? ^DA
@CrossCountryUK Surely if you are cancelling trains you should be providing alternative transport. That’s more money wasted not being able to come back home on the train yesterday.
@wrightemma429 That is incorrect. Any train that is cancelled, the barrier staff at University will allow travel on the next available service. There is zero need to change her ticket. ^DA
@wrightemma429 Why would she have to pay to change it? Any train cancelled due to no fault of her own means she can take the next available train towards Burton, even with a change of train at New Street using the same ticket. ^DA
@marksandspencer I’ve got a order to collect from your burton on Trent branch but it says collect by tomorrow. Unfortunately I can’t pick it up until Monday. Can it be kept until then please? Thanks
