@SteadmanAaron The more step 1-4 clubs that go astro the more step 6+ clubs will take shortcuts to avoid ground grading issues by groundsharing in the next town. Bit of a shame tbh, but classic non league, short term financing a romp up the leagues followed by "re-adjusting budgets".

You should not be able to get promoted to/from step 6 or above without your own ground! Been saying this for years. Far too many teams in the pyramid without their own ground. Fair play to Welwyn

CLUB STATEMENT Brett Donnelly has resigned as AFC Welwyn first team manager. The club has decided to progress with plans to secure our own ground which meant that the difficult decision to revise all budgets within the club has been made in order to make the new ground our priority. With these changes impacting Brett's playing budgets he offered his resignation which we have accepted. Our priority is to remain competitive whilst ensuring we are making positive steps towards having our own home. In this instance we have had to make decisions with our head rather than our heart. This is the right decision for the clubs long term goals and financial sustainability. We will keep you posted on first team manager appointment as soon as we are able. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Brett for everything he has done for the club, he has delivered everything we asked of him right until the end and we wish him all the very best for his future.

@bobbyjoetaylor @FarnhamTownFC As somebody who maintains the 3G pitch at my club this is 100% down to poor maintenance schdule by the club, the tear should have been identified during weekly pitch inspection that I do personally 3 times a week along with brushing. It looks to me like the join has seperated.

I have seen this getting a lot of stick but personally if a players performances, fitness or body composition isn’t up to scratch and they’re then drinking most weekends whilst being paid by a club to perform, then I’d be questioning it too. Team bonding occasionally is different but don’t underestimate how alcohol impacts you performing, the studies for its affects on athletes are damning. I also don’t know Bracknells ambitions, finances & overall situation so I’m talking in general.
