@AmericanAir summer project for your crack programmers. If you are going to automatically change my connection because of a mechanical delay (I’d much rather you leave it alone and let me choose when to rebook) when the delay is removed why aren’t you automatically putting it back? Is too hard for your coders or do you just not give a rip? Here’s an idea, don’t change my flight until it is actually assured I can’t make it. Will save everyone a lot of headaches.

Reagan famously said the scariest words are “I’m from the government and I’m here to help” Modern version of that is American Airlines “your flight is delayed we’ve gone ahead and rebooked your connection” PLEASE GIVE US THE OPTION TO SAY NO TO YOUR “HELP” 30 min delay for a 90 min connection time and your computer rebooks half our group to a different airport. And guess what…our connection is delayed so we actually had 2.5 hours to make the connection…..and our original flight left right on time and we landed early. DELAYS FLUCTUATE IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. Let your programmers know that and slide a few lines of code into your software. So dumb.
