@digitalfoundry This honestly comes off as a hyped in the moment reaction, but the response isn't the greatest either. We cannot continue to have "our opinions" influenced. This includes DF. The biggest issue I think rn is NVIDIA saying people are "wrong". No one can be wrong in their opinions.

So your strategy moving forward is wait to see what the general consensus is and then align with that? I’m sorry, but if you and Oliver were impressed and excited by DLSS 5, as you seemingly were, you shouldn’t feel the need to change your view just because other people don’t like it.

Jesus Christ this is cringe… stand your ground. You are supposed to be the experts by seeing this stuff first and having a background in contextualizing it for a non-technical audience. It’s fine to have an opinion if you have done analysis and thoughtfully weigh out the pros and cons. If you think your job is just to mirror what we want to hear, why would the world need you at all? If some people can’t handle you disagreeing then that’s on them. Sometimes it’s valuable long term to be the only one on a side that’s later proven to be correct. Trust your gut, present it thoughtfully, don’t capitulate.
