I’m on a Leverage binge, a really entertaining, creative show: terrific cast & characters & strong writing. The least “likable” team member is Nate, but that creates “good” tension within the team. (NCISLA could’ve used some of that imo.).

OMGOSH, how did I miss Leverage? (I blame teaching.) Eliot Spencer—what a great character: the best (& only true) antihero I’ve seen on a TV show. And Kane is amazing in the role!!

@swedecoder @HeidiPouru It couldn’t work—a UCLA basketball player & her brother get “assaulted” by LAPD in broad daylight in front of witnesses with cell phones? 😑 That’d be a HUGE local & online news story, so there goes Rountree’s usefulness as a uc agent. And working with LAPD again? 🤣

@0803HAL @HeidiPouru It felt like a throw-away scene that, as I recall, wasn't addressed again until later episodes...? Disjointed story arc that brought any action to a halt when they had to discuss it, again. Just highlights how SG couldn't even follow up on his own arcs.

@swedecoder @HeidiPouru If the incident had happened to a Navy man instead of Rountree, it could’ve been a decent ep, especially if the writer had included some uc work for the OG4. But the new writers & Gemmill seemed to often just ignore what the team was supposed to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@0803HAL @HeidiPouru I've been so used to the show (in the early years anyway) being about the team and ncis cases that this topic seemed to come from left field. Granted, I'm more invested in the lives of the OG4, that any made up Rountree issues holds little interest to me, so there is that.

@SnoopGirlZ @Chrishzl7 @HeidiPouru Gemmill shouldn’t have brought back Joelle or Katya (when he couldn’t get Eve) because sometimes a showrunner (or writer) has to know when it’s time to say goodbye to a minor character. Writing good storylines for Callen was much MORE important than either of those characters. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@SnoopGirlZ @Chrishzl7 @HeidiPouru If Brennan HAD thought of keeping Joelle around, he wouldn’t have made her a teacher. She could’ve been CIA from the start; it would’ve made sense that she knew Michelle & Sam. It was stupid of Gemmill to bring her back as CIA.
