Three topics dominated most of the conversations I had: RWA tokenization, payments, and AI agents in crypto. On RWA: the debate about whether tokenization is happening ended a while ago. The harder questions now are where actual secondary liquidity for tokenized assets comes from, and how teams are navigating HK's licensing regime now that the rules are live. Payments side felt earlier-stage but louder. Stablecoins, agentic flows, cross-border rails, all converging in conversations that hadn't quite resolved into anything clean yet. On AI, especially agents applied to payments. My honest read is the optimism is running well ahead of what's actually shipping. Lots of bullishness about autonomous agents moving money around. The thing that stuck across all three: people could speak fluently about the high-level narrative and went vague the moment the conversation moved to operational reality. How custody actually works at scale, how data flows get reconciled across counterparties, what happens when a settlement fails, what the agent is acting on. That's where the work still is. Good week. Grateful for the conversations. That last part is what we spend most days on at @OrochiNetwork 🐉

Reached 25'000 followers today. A huge milestone for me personally, and time to reflect on my journey that brought me here. Few know that I basically started out my crypto journey at @AMINABankGlobal back in 2019. I started out as an intern after a mathematics prof at business school peaked my interest in cryptography & blockchain tech, and (surprisingly) was willing to supervise one the first crypto/tokenization-focused bachelor theses that were submitted at my university. Something that opened a key door for me, as Amina was where I truly fell into the crypto rabbit hole and where I met the first crypto-native chads like @kunalgoel (who I learned a lot from back in the day). After 1.5 years in the finance & risk, tokenization, and research departments at Amina, I went back to uni to start a master's degree in banking & finance. But while I enjoyed the TradFi lectures on quant stuff, corporate finance, and especially some of the elective courses in programming or cyber security, I increasingly realized that this was not the right place for me. All my uni frens wanted to go into investment banking or private equity, enjoyed wearing a suit, and mostly saw crypto as something shady. All while for me personally, it was clear already that my future lies in the world of magic internet money. I was always fascinated by innovative technology, and got rly deep into the @Polkadot ecosystem (where my @ChaosDAO / @apeXchimpz pfp comes from) when I first entered the rabbit hole, with @gavofyork being one of my biggest inspirations. So I kept reading. Kept researching. Kept grinding. Sacrificed every free minute I had. I started to write about the things I taught myself on Twitter, and slowly but surely started to build an audience. The idea of modular blockchain architectures, separating execution from consensus/security within a composable ecosystem of appchains truly resonated with me, and finally turned a passion into an addiction. I started diving into concepts that resembled the modularity in Polkadot and discovered rollups, ZK tech, and modular infra layers like @celestia or @eigencloud. My efforts started to pay off, as some of my posts about these topics started to gain traction, and my follower count grew into the thousands (including quite a few "smart followers" as we call them nowadays). Probably a main reason why in early 2023, I got a DM here on X from a guy called @Louround_, which in hindsight, was likely the pivotal moment for my career. Given our shared interest in rollups, zkEVM technology and DeFi at the time, we quickly decided to join forces and dropped a comprehensive tech + ecosystem deep dive on @0xPolygon's zkEVM (nowadays known as @ziskvm) that reached far beyond half a million people on Twitter. We kept in touch, and spontaneously decided to meet up at @EthCC in Paris in the summer of 2023. Through my fren (who was much more present on CT back in the day already than I was), and given my own little personal brand that I started to build in these days, I was finally able to meet so many like-minded people, and (very much opposed to the IB/PE networking events at uni) truly enjoyed to network with the faces behind the anon pfps on twitter. I knew I found the place where I belong. Among some other key people, I also met @0xAtomist there, and shortly after made it into @castle__cap community, which later gave rise to @castle_labs. Within the walls of the Castle, I met many smart people, was able to further extend my network, and got a chance to collaborate with fellow researchers that truly shared my interests (the importance of finding "your tribe"). At the same time, I decided to take a leap of faith, dropped out of uni, and together with @Louround_, founded @RedactedRes in an attempt to make institutional-grade research deep dives similar to our Polygon zkEVM piece a public good. That was when things really started to accelerate, and when in November 2023, I got the opportunity to start working at @scrib3_co. Another pivotal moment in my journey, as I did not only get a unique chance to learn from some of the best marketers in all of crypto, but also to work with some of the industry's biggest projects and teams (once again, massively expanding my network). It was also my time at Scrib3 that empowered me to turn my 50+ post threads that were way to technical and way to detailed to resonate with a broader audience, into a format that found what nowadays we might call "PMF", and that ultimately allowed me to fully make my dream a reality. Working 100% independently in a space that I love, and giving me a chance at building something myself. With @RedactedRes and @steak_studio, together with @Louround_, @Moomsxxx & @0xavarek, we have some big things cooking. I'm very excited to reveal the next chapter of my personal journey soon.
